It's all pizza and pasta, all the time. Pizza comes from a wood-fired oven, which dominates the back of the room and there are sixteen, count 'em, sixteen forms of pasta. They range from such simple dishes as tomato with basil to shrimp and artichoke to chicken and mushroom ravioli. The sauces are the main attraction and include all the basics like pesto, marsala wine, parmesan cream and simple lemon and garlic butter. Pizza selections are just as varied and include five cheese (parmesan, fontina, mozzarella, gouda and romano), bourbon barbecue chicken, grilled sausage trio, wild mushroom and many more. Carmelized onions, eggplant, artichokes and other veggies add a healthy touch and flavor and there are salads and desserts as well. Although the interior is on the smallish side, the entire place is nonsmoking and a tiled floor, close-together tables and painted ceiling beams add to the sense of intimacy. But the best seats in the house are outside in warm months, so you can observe beautiful downtown Grandview while getting a major carb boost. -- Sandra Gurvis
