A facelift which added a brick exterior, new roof and bas-relief stone sculptures helped class up this New Albany staple. But at Eagle's Pizza, the food -- pizza, subs and the ever-popular twice-baked spaghetti -- has remained unchanged, as have the prices, which represent the best deal in town. There's even a chart at the entrance comparing how much cheaper Eagle's offerings are than the competition's prices. You'll need to crane your neck to make a selection: There are no regular menus, and they frequently run out of carryout listings as well. But the staff, mostly local high school students, is amiable and brings your food to the table. Rather than depending upon the overworked servers for refills, most parties opt for beverages in large pitchers. With a casual atmosphere, it's almost as relaxing as dining at home, without cooking or cleanup. And if you live in the area you're also likely to run into a neighbor or two.
