Good wings, tons of beer and a friendly, laid-back atmosphere make Smokin' Joe's a popular spot on bustling, bar-filled East Carson Street. The beer selection is a jaw-dropper, even for the pickiest beer lover: almost 300 bottles and 40 drafts. From Bud Light to Belgian imports, you name it and they probably have it. Joe's is a regular stop for the college circuit on the weekend nights, while weekdays and afternoons host a crowd of neighborhood regulars and cigar-smoking socialites. With a single pool table in the back and slightly cramped seating at the bar, this spot can get crowded, making it difficult to order a drink, let alone find a place to sit. There is an upstairs, though, and the view is quite lovely. Tin ceilings and old photographs of the city remind you of your roots, while 30 cent wing nights leave you with enough cash to sample the world's finest brews, right in your own backyard.

Include this on your Southside crawl checklist. Great crowd and drinks. Second only to Jack's don't make the crawl with out hitting this place. Great place to go when Jack's too packed to get in.

This is one of the best spots in Pittsbugh. Great food and a very large beer selection. If you want a table you better get there early. On weekends the second floor is open with a full service bar for your drinking pleasure. There is a nice mix of people, from locals to frat boys. Everyone is welcome at this local brew house. The only downfall is that the jukebox is horrible. Do something about that you guys.

Great beer selection and at a decent price. I plan on going back there as often as possible.
