Nice to have a place for someone who didn't just turn 21. Nice atmospere and nice mix of music between all the rooms.

I am going to be honest here. There are nothing but unattractive dorks who work here. There are too many ugly employees and skinny wimpy guards. Employees are not always friendly. Dress code is acceptable however most of the guys all look the same. They need to find their own style and stop cloning off of each other. 99 percent of the crowd is nothing but dorky preps who used to be losers in high school. Old guys picking up on ugly drunk girls and bad music sums it up for you. There is alot of fat trash dancing on the bar and the hot girls (there aren't too many) I do see there are normally sitting down at a table or staying in the corner because they are too scared that some retard is going to pick them up.

This small trash can is full of dirty litter and disease infested girls. Worst piece of crap hole ever! The guys are preppy little nerds too.

Full of old guys walking around by themselves. Dancing queen men, who make up line dances in their spare time. Small bouncers who hit on girls and try to pay for favors if you know what I mean. Not too much darkness if you know what I mean. Loners walk around and stare at girls. The guys look like clones with their striped button down white shirts. Old balding men are everywhere you look. The people that work there are ugly and rude.

Bush Leagues

Matrix is bush, that's all there is to it! Am I going to say I've never been there and I'm never going? No...but when I do go there, I stay in liquid. The DJ in Goddess - just turn on KISS and there you have it. No deviation from top 40. *I* say the DJ's bad because he doesn't mix it up. You go other places (like the Tikki Lounge in S.S.) and they mix...older school (C.R.E.A.M.) and stuff that's brand new. Play the KISS garbage because you have to, but play something older or something maybe not on the radio yet! Mix it up!

how can people compare this club to miami clubs??? i'm from miami and its nothing like it!! the people DEFINITELY dont dress as well, and theres lots of creepy old guys whenever i go. even some of the younger guys creep me out. the music really isnt that great either. in fact its SUCKS. they should play newer stuff. the only good thing is the drinks cuz even tho the cover is cheap its still not worth the experience. and i agree that its wayyy to crowded. im not impressed

For those who want to know why Matrix is the best club in Pittsburgh...You have to be able to tell the difference between what is trashy and what's not. Matrix is a great place because of the diverse music and the diverse crowd that it brings. I am sick of hearing from those who talk negatively about the place.....and then seeing them there later on that night. Word of advice...if you dont like the place.....Stay home....or else go to the strip where you are sure to have cheap drinks and cheap women...which is largely representative of the Pgh area....Why is Matrix so strongly criticized? Because it doesn't belong in a trashy city.

lol in response to nickz2825. I noticed these lonely old guys too! Its the same ones there weekly and they still cant make any friends. Rather go to church than go to a night club by myself and do they know that they get ripped on by everybody?
