Fans of Sweet Lucy's award-winning lunch truck can now have their brisket and eat it, too. Sweet Lucy's has upgraded from a roving rib house on wheels to a proper sit-down joint for eating 'cue, cooked from scratch in a hickory wood-burning pit. Pulled pork, Texas beef brisket and barbecue chicken are offered as sandwiches or platters, served with homemade sides like baked beans or cole slaw, while Memphis baby back ribs arrive by the rack. This barbecue is not for the timid: the menu offers a combo platter called the Quadruple By-Pass and value meals called ''Pig Outs.''
Although surrounded by warehouses and garages on an industrial stretch of State Road in the Northeast, the interior is pure country and pure pig. Rough-hewn unfinished pine benches, galvanized washbuckets as light fixtures and vintage pig tchotchkes on the walls create a down-home feel perfect for tucking into some serious barbecue. While Sweet Lucy's may have settled into one spot, it hasn't forgotten its traveling days -- their original lunch truck is permanently parked out front.

a little more sassy than sweet
Very good BBQ, but there is a lot of vinegar in EVERYTHING . . . . it makes for a tangy bbq, nothing sweet about it . . . but really great!

Hands down the best in the city. The ribs are always succulent and tender, the pulled pork and chicken always delicious, and the brisket falls apart in your mouth, and goes perfectly with the spicey vinegar.
