Locals swear by the Morning Glory, particularly the breakfast, and early risers lucky enough to live nearby enjoy coming here on weekday mornings to get a good start to their day. Others may find themselves muscling each other in line for the weekend brunch. True, the prices are slightly higher than the normal diner, but you will be plenty filled up no matter what you order; this is no delicate breakfast cafe. Patrons include everyone from senior citizens to young couples just trying the living-together experiment. Pancake lovers will be overjoyed at the fluffy, made-from-scratch hotcakes with your choice of fresh fruit. A gigantic breakfast burrito stuffed with scrambled eggs, mozzarella, red and hot peppers, and spicy sausage (if you like) wrapped in a quickly toasted tortilla and topped with a red chili sauce lets you skip lunch. If you opt for lunch, though, Morning Glory won't disappoint either: Whether you're biting into a croque monsieur or the grilled ahi tuna BLT, your stomach will thank you.

This place definitely worth the wait on weekends! Friendly service and little extras like the $1 coffee while you wait make this place a true neighborhood spot. I love the Glory Cakes and Challah French Toast specials, but there is something for everyone from sandwiches to breakfast fare! This place definitely outdoes Sabrina's around the corner (sorry, just had to be honest for those who may be deciding between the 2).
Hrushanyk's Review
Sam, owner of the Morning Glory is a wonderful person and she has a great diner -
at the time I lived on 9th street - 2 years ago and I can still remember how much my 5 year old daughter loved to have breakfast at Sam's - the area is safe, the people are friendly and you have to experience it for yourself - truly a wonderful diner!!!
