Marra's is a South Philly favorite. If you live in that endlessly fascinating part of town, it's likely the place your parents went on their first date; pizza at Marra's was probably one of the places you and your friends went to on those first out-without-the-parents excursions. It's also a local hot spot before a game at the nearby sports arenas -- an unfussy family place with everything you would expect from an aging institution. Service is South Philly friendly. On a good night, that might mean chatty and casual, on a bad night attitude-y and slow. The atmosphere is pure old-time South Philly: wood-and-red-vinyl booths, old-looking photos, etc. If you go expecting upscale Italian, you're going to be disappointed. There are traditional pasta-house favorites, such as ravioli and spaghetti doused in the house gravy, and mussels and calamari. The main draw, though, is the incomparable thin-crust pizza made in brick ovens. Portions are huge and prices very reasonable. -- Margaret Battistelli

Been enjoying this place since the early 70's-Not only great pie' but plenty of seating and a liquor license-Some vino to go with that wonderful Italian menu

My wife and I (Sicilians) went . The salad was terrible, the pizza ok, and parking is like pulling teeth. Service and attitudes were also not very good.

Not that great!
I went to Marra's for the first time recently and I won't be going back. Although the main meal was very good, the place was dirty, as were our glasses. I would order a pizza for pick-up, but I won't be eating there again.
eeeehhhhhhhhh
So what is so great about this joint? Try Charlies on the Roosevelt Boulevard near Adams ave. The best pizza you'll ever eat...It's sooooo good that when it arives at your table, you will just savor the look and smell so much you might not eat itbecause it would be a sin. Lousey neighborhood, keep an eye on your car out the window as you enjoy heavenly thin crust pizza. Nice owners, been around for decades. Cops allways in and out for there Pies, can't blame them. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm
ALWAYS GREAT !
PURE SOUTH PHILLY, FROM APPETIZERS TO ENTREES (OH YEAH, THE PIZZA IS AWESOME) MARRA'S NEVER DISAPOINTS, WHETHER IT'S FAMILY NIGHT OUT OR A CHEAP DATE. A COZY OLD SCHOOL FEEL MAKES THIS A PLACE YOU'LL GO BACK TO AGAIN AND AGAIN.
ANGEL is a trip!
I love going there. I am a waiter at a center city restaurant and appreciate a good time out when I am not working. You have to experience the waitress Angel if you get a chance sometime to go to Marra's I always ask for her.......SHE IS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
