If you like your pizza sturdy and stalwart -- you know, the kind you can eat with one hand while you're driving -- chances are you won't like Lorenzo & Son. But that's no skin off their mozzarella -- plenty of folks can't get enough of L & S' goopy, drippy, saggy-crusted pie. (Just try elbowing in for a slice late on a weekend night, when the crowd is made up of revelers ambling to and from South Street's watering holes.) L & S' slices are huge, evoking those you might have enjoyed as a teenager on the Wildwood boardwalk. (Mack's Pizza, anyone?) These are just as greasy and every bit as yummy. Though this nondescript eatery might not seem like much mid-afternoon, once the sun sets and the street picks up, there's no doubt L & S serves up a bona fide scene with its slices.

awesome
yup.
Add Commentraw crap
Lorenzo's used to have good pizza, but lately (and I mean the past few years) their pizza is CRAP. It is tasteless and doughy as hell. Even drunk, it tastes like cardboard.
Are You Kidding??
Cold pies left in the summer heat at night. Only fools, drunks and stoners want to risk the food poisoning you'll get there.
could be better
I also have a problem with the way the pizzas are coked here (or should I say under-cooked) leave it in the oven a little longer nobody will leave to go somewhere else.
simply the best
i've been eating larenzo and sons pizza for over 20 years now. anytime i must go to philly i will go out of my way to get this pizza. huge slices for a cheap price. you cannot go wrong. i get to eat alot of different pizza, but this is the only one i'd go seriously out of my way to get. they are right on south street so after all the clubs and concerts let out they are still open to serve the hungry masses. A+++++
