Brasserie Perrier is Georges Perrier's restaurant for young people. The bar/lounge sits up front and outside there is a smattering of tables. With its own, more affordable menu, the lounge fills up quickly after working hours with the young and moneyed and has a lively buzz. The decor boasts jagged lines, copper colors and even some playful cutout wooden paintings of French meals. The care for comfort and quality of service are applaudable. Fine French food rules the day here: Tender free-range chicken with creamy eggplant risotto makes you want to shout, "Vive La France!" as does the potato-crusted halibut accompanied by crab orzo pasta. In the lounge, indulge yourself with steak frites, a perfect accompaniment to tall glass of beer, or the richer roasted leg of lamb with spicy sausage on mascarpone risotto. Although not exactly quiet and romantic, Brasserie Perrier is still a top destination for dates, as well as a haunt for singles. -- Josh McIlvain
