Beyond the eye-popping, electric-blue neon sign: old-school drinks and newfangled food.

In Short
The former Foodtek restaurant has evolved into a trendy Old City nightspot with a trendy fusion menu and a sizeable collection of wall-mounted sculpture. Blue lighting bathes the bar and nearby booths in an arctic glow, while loud funk and disco provide the siren call for heat-seeking patrons. As to the menu, dishes range from lobster with foie gras and fig molasses to chili-charred filet mignon. Cocktails are de rigueur.

What To Drink
You can pay tribute to the titular '50s cocktail with an array of variations. Especially inviting are the Soprano made with sambuca, the Mintini made with mint schnapps, and the Flirtini made with champagne.

The Extras
For those who want to pay for the privilege of pouring, bottle service is available.

  • Best Martinis in Town

Always great martinis and food. Really fun crowd, especially for young professionals and singles

  • Great time, great people

Simply one of the best places to hit in Philly. Not sure why some feel the service isn't good. I have never had anything but a wonderful time here. The bartenders are wonderful to chat with, heck even the people who simply restock the bar are fun.
Always a great time for me!

  • WORSET SERVICE EVER

    Review rating : 1out of 5   bajetnour - 07/06/2006

I AM A SURGEON IN PHILLY AND I HAVE BEEN TO ALMOST EVERY RESTAURANT IN THE CITY. blue martini HAS TO BE ONE OF THE WORSET PLACES TO GET SERVICE. The workers are not friendly, rude and arrogant and unless you are drunk you won't realize that their service is exremely poor. hated every minute.

  • These other reviews are crazy

There's never been a time I've gone to Bleu Martini and not had an amazing time...the drinks are the best in town, food is out of this world and the service is always number one. The crowds are huge, so go there and expect to wait longer and pay a little more for a drink...top-shelf drinks in a stylish atmosphere served to a highly professional and young crowd...it's well worth it. If you go there expecting TGI Friday's, you will be disappointed. FYI...I am a corporate customer service trainer by trade!

  • Horrible Service, Food disappointing like the crowd

Going to restaurant, turned a good Friday into a terrible one. Awful, rude and inattentive service coupled with a dissapointing menu. Told that they were out of sushi for the night! (it was only around 10, or 10:30), not to mention the crowd, cheesy and prententious.. Would not return unless management and menu was completely revamped!

  • Food is fabulous, but the service is horrific!

This is the second time I've gone to this restaurant and both times the food has been absolutely terrific. The Chilean Seabass is honesty one of the best dishes I've had in quite a while. The chef has done an excellent job. The service needs so much work though. After getting my first drink the bartender (Laura/Lauren?) walked away to the back of the restaurant to chat for 10-15 minutes. The second Martini took the cake. I wasn't aware that the proper way to put olives into a Martini was to dunk them into the drink like a basketball, spilling it on the bar. I know that touching the olives is a part of the job, but how about a skewer or a straw. Palming them into to glass is on a whole different level of bad service. I've been a bartender and restaurant manager (not in philly) in the past and if I saw an employee do that in front of a customer I would definitely have something to say to them. But then again I didn't see a manager anywhere either. Thank God the food was good but even the chef had to come out of the kitchen to tell her it was ready before it died in the window. But i wasn't even asked about that either. I don't need a lot of attention but to have to wait a good amount of time for another drink in a completely empty bar is inexcusable. The bartenders may be very attractive but they are terrible at their jobs. I can't remember the last time i tipped less than 25% on a check and to be honest i was uncomfortable leaving 15% but even that was more than she deserved. I think the management staff really needs to keep an eye on their staff and make them alittle more attentive to their guests.

Full of people who pretend and like to act like they have money. Way to over crowed and the martini's are over priced. It is very snobb like in there with the people. Why do people have a need to act so damn child like ?

Snotty wanna be's that the biggest acomplishment in life is being a waitress and/or taking advantage of a dumb rich man who is thinking with the wrong head. Disgusting atmosphere. So fake.
