Not sure how to decorate that cake for a special occasion? Just take a look at Bethel Bakery's Web site at the in-store monitor and you'll see dozens of choices. Among them are novelty cakes that take the shape of dinosaurs, video games, beer mugs or pirate ships (to name but a few) and no-cut cakes (24 cupcakes joined together for a sweet whole that cuts down on cleanup). When you've decided, you can fill out the online form right at the store and present it to the counter team. The bakery also features logo cookies that honor the Steelers and other area teams (or feature a logo of your choosing) and photo cookies. You'll also find the usual donuts, cookies, jumbo muffins and coffee cakes, along with a German chocolate cake that's getting rave reviews. The store's counters also showcase cakes that will provide food for thought.

  • Buttercream/ whipped cream

    On three seperate purchases here, I had specifically requested 'buttercream' icing on my cakes and cupcakes, only to get their 'whipped Crisco' icing. (It leaves a residue on your lips, yuk!) As glutton for punishment, I recently ordered ( last week) 42 cupcakes, once again requesting their signature 'buttercream' icing; what did I get, 21 whipped cream/ 21 buttercream. At least 1/2 of my order was correct this time.
    The chocolate icing was 'buttercream'!......Luckily I had a can of 'Duncan & Hines' white icing at home; I scraped off their 'fluff' and put on some proper icing. Family/ friends then enjoyed all of the 42 cupcakes.
    ......On a positive note, the cakes at Bethel Bakery are very good., the icing is very questionable.
    Unfortunately I will NEVER buy here again.

    When this family is in need of any of these delectiable items, we always depend on Bethel Bakery. Even introducing friends to their wonderful sweets now has then driving miles and miles to fulfill their sweettooth.

    The icing on their cakes tastes like Crisco. Has no sweetness at all. Honestly tastes like Crisco shortening.

    It's a place to buy sweets when you have guests and want to delight them with beautiful desserts. But you can't walk out of the store without buying something for yourself too.

    This bakery is the only place to go for a cake. By far the best known around. Not to mention if you want a quick fix in the morning you cant beet their cofee and donuts The service is great and they can do amazing things with cakes even do custom pictures on them.They also have a special room for wedding cakes and no matter who waits on you they can help you with whatever your needs are The cakes by far are the specialty. but the breads,donuts,pastries,and cookies are also fantastic cookies!!!!!!!!!!! I love them. Even down to the gingerbread men cookies that I have been eating there since I was a kid
