Before 2002, it was called just the Rusty Nail, but Bellevue diners knew this homestyle restaurant as Joe's Rusty Nail for years. Take a look around, and you'll see why: This spot has serious roots in the community. The walls are hung with plaques and photos of youth athletic teams Joe's supports, as well as other neighborhood scenes. The dining room here probably is much like your own -- there's a hutch crowded with tiny bear figurines -- only much busier.
The menu has quite a few country-style choices, such as homemade meatloaf, and liver and onions topped with bacon. At dinner, the lightly breaded pan-fried chicken is a favorite, with variations such as chicken parmigiana and Chicken MaryAnn, topped with roasted red pepper, portobello mushroom and a light sauce. At lunchtime, try the Devonshires -- turkey, crab cake or chicken topped with Joe's tangy cheddar sauce on Texas toast -- or a sizzling burger with American cheese and salsa. Eat at Joe's? We shouldn't have to tell you twice.

rntnmnty - 02/06/2007If your looking for a great meal at a great price come to Joes Rusty Nail!! You never leave there hungry or broke!! We've been going to The Rusty Nail for over 20 years, and I must say they are a true class act group of people that work there!! Joe always make a point to come out and see how you meal is going and to just say "hello". The waitress and greeters are always very polite and patient even if there is a line half way down the street. To say the least It doesn't get much better than this!!

worst service of my life
tron164 - 09/20/2006i went in with a friend. the waitress brought us menus and got us drinks.. but she never returned to take our order. we sat there for 20 minutes. the restaurant was practically empty. there were several waitresses standing there doing nothing. a party that came in after us and sat RIGHT next to us got their food before our order was even taken. our "waitress", a young blonde... thing... had the nerve to stand by the kitchen with her arms crossed as if she had nothing to do.. we left 5 bucks to cover the drinks and walked out. i'm never going back again....

lenniesweeney - 05/27/2006All to often we ignore the place around the corner and travel afar in the mistaken belief that distance adds to quality. Not so with the Rusty Nail; we who live in the area(Brighton Heights) have long known about this jewel in our midst. It is truly the best breakfast in Pgh-----lunch and dinner are super too, try the grilled liver and onions; you won't believe it. Betsy Sweeney
