Unsurprisingly, barbecue's the specialty here, with pulled pork and shredded beef sandwiches, and platters such as the half-rack of baby back ribs perennially the favorites. Cajun flavors are also represented with chicken, sausage and okra gumbo on the soup menu and shrimp po boys on the sandwich menu.

Want something different? Try a Beaver County salad, with steak or chicken and mixed greens, tomatoes, peppers, pepperoncinis, chedder and mozzarella, egg and fries. The expanded dinner menu features gourmet salads and entrees such as spicy Louisiana chicken (sauteed with peppers, onions and mushrooms) and blackened catfish. And, as the many signs note, you can wash it down with a cold beer.

The room is filled with knickknacks such as cow and pig statues, and tiny toy barns, and the wood-paneled booths offer a little bit of privacy. There's a glass display with lots of spicy sauce choices, and there's a six-pace of sauces at each table. When the lights are dimmed and there's country music on the TV, the place has an old-fashioned honky-tonk flavor.

In mid 2006 PJ's changed it's menu and it's chef. It was a very bad thing. I can't say how much the BBQ has changed as I previously found it to be good, but not great. I did like the Prime Rib, until they changed chefs... Someone needs to tell him that you don't GRILL Prime Rib, and you don't make it with an inferior steak cut. We made the mistake of trying it twice, and in this case, two strikes and you're out. We won't be back, even though we live right around the corner, and used to be there at least twice a month.
