You never know what you're in store for with the eclectic concert offerings at the Roseland, but it's a safe bet top performers or up-and-coming musicians will take the stage. It's something of a dank, dark place -- the way a good concert venue should feel. Artists range from local Portland artists like rapper Pete Miser and his Five Fingers of Funk to bigger names of like Ministry, Ziggy Marley's and Blues Traveler lead man, John Popper. An upstairs area and bar gives you somewhere to sit when you've worn out the dance floor, and another area is set aside for under-21 audience members.

The show was good, but the staff was extremely rude.
First of all, the show I went to see started an hour before their website said it would. When I asked the girl at the will call booth why the show had started so early she said that the tickets said it started at seven. I asked he how I was supposed to know that with a will call ticket and she said "You have a shi**y attitude". I started to walk away and she yelled this to my friend "Hey, your friend has a shi**y attitude, she's a bi*ch". I'm calling the manager today to file a complaint, I just wanted everyone to be warned. Don't go to the Roseland unless you enjoy being verbally abused by the staff!

METH FOR PREZ
Method Man was here at the Roseland, the Roseland didn't have drinks but all in all put me closer than I ever thought I could without being a groupee, Meth jumped into the crowd, he landed on me so I had his sweat on me, he threw water on us, he was climbing on stuff like a monkey and well it was bananas, Meth is the best person you will ever see in concert he hooked me up with my ol' school jam (Your all that I need w/ my girl Mary J) and he made it seemed like I paid a grip to get in, I got free tickets, thanks to 95.5 and the show was worth it. Meth tore it up, 95.5 hooked me up with the meet and greet, I got my posta signed, Not at all a bad way to spend a night in PO! Thanks Meth!

Man I love this place, its an old church that my Grand mother went to. It has the greatest sound and great people its the best when its popping so go on a night with a good show. Go up or sit at the bar and catch the show on big screen TVs with the sound humming trough the floor.

All the bands on February 22 did a rad job, but the Band "In Public View" was super hot. Talk about WOW!
Dizzi's Review

The Roseland Bar and Grill ROCKS!!! We have partied there on numerous occasions to some kick-ass bands. If you are a fanatic for music you must see a band you love here, LIVE! You will never feel music the same again. Thanks for being there for the fall of La Luna. I'd like to see more 21 and over gigs. We like to rock too! (Floor)
Dave's Review

I attended the Hoey concert in the "grill" this was my first time downstairs for a show. The crowd was cool the employees were nice, the overall atmosphere was pleasant. Upstairs could use some help but where else are we gonna go?
Blink's Review

One of the last great places to go in Portland---this place truly knows how to kep it real. Everything thats lost in music like 10$ shows and small, smoke-filled clubs are found here. I really do love this place--thanks for kepping it going!
