    The gay club that opens its arms and dance floor to everyone, Embers is a inviting place because it's not trying too hard to prove something along social or political lines. Everyone's just there to have a good time regardless of sexual preference. The nightly drag shows are a hoot and the DJs spin a solid mix of Top 40, retro and house style wax. If Hollywood was looking for a fun gay club to share with mainstream audiences it would certainly be able to cast this Portland old town locale in that role. Full bar, several stages for dancing, lots of seating and killer atmosphere, the bar has character by the truckload. -- Joe Kurmaskie

      I enjoy Embers because you can be yourself. EX: Gay, Straight or ??? Relax be yourself. They play a wide range of music on the dance floor.

      I have been going to the Embers since the early 80's.
      I have many good memories of that place.
      All in all it's a great fun place. And I am proud to be part of it's history.
      I hope it will be here for a very long time.
      It a part of the history
      of Portland.

      Embers is a great place to sit back and forget about your worries. The drag show rocks. You ladies are great. I will be back every week.

      I love the Embers, I have been going there for 9 yrs. Our group of friends meet there every Sat. but it is time for a change in the music we all know every song that is going to be played in order, we love dj glory, please let him play his music not your old worn out stuff alittle more techo please.

      Embers is the best club in portland it has the warmest and most freindly people in town the drag shows are the best in the west and those queens are gorges
      that Erika colby is the best when I was on there on friday and saturday she made me fell so good!!!!

      Embers rocks!!Good times for all ages,, went there for my 21st bday w/ my mom and aunts- tons o' fun, kickin music- from 80's to techno and everything in between, great dance floors thats always full of people ready for a wild time and the Drag show rocks!! Damn girls- looking good. . . whats the secret? :) he he
