Although it's about the size of a garage, this first branch of what's become a successful regional chain still retains its charm. A former hardware store, the aptly named Old Bags of Nails is cunningly decorated with more than 99 cans of beer on one wall, as well as nifty antiques and old photos. The menu has greatly expanded since the place opened in 1986, even though there's still lots of beer on tap to accompany imports and microbrews. Although the British-style fish-and-chips make it a destination stop for fans of cod, coleslaw and fries, this Old Bag has become famous for its burgers, which are made from USDA Black Angus beef. Cooked to order, they include the Pauly Burger, which is topped with grilled salami, Swiss and American cheese, and Italian dressing; the Rustic Burger, covered with melted crumbled bleu cheese and bacon; and Gaylord's Favorite, with bacon, cheddar and barbecue sauce. There are also soups, salads, seafood, steaks and other sandwiches, along with a wide array of starters both standard and unusual, in case you suddenly have a craving for -- get this -- beer-battered pickles.

Been great for years

Not sure how anyone could complain about the good fish and chips and cool atmosphere- Christian the manager has been there forever- that INHOMICH person must be the guy who wished he owned the place or something- always great beer selection and good food

This place is great, best fish and chips in town, good happy hour- same manager for 10 years (Christian) this is the best pub in the city- all these kids and the food "isnt good" should get the soap, this is the real deal in Columbus, I hear they have other spots but the original in Worthington is the cat's meow
maybe ok for drinks
Definitely go somewhere else for dinner. Maybe ok to get a drink and appetizer with friends after work. But I have never had a good meal there. Some are mediocre...but in retrospect, I'd have been happier eating burger king. And the service is always some of the worst you can find, just to top off the pretty bad meal.
Forget the rest
Moved from Maine 3 yrs ago and have been to all but the one that burned down...the one on N. High in Worthington served me the best fish and chips since I've been in Ohio.
Great Fish&Chips
Excellent F&Cat the worthington.....a bit small and crowded..but good food...
went to the new westerville version a while back...not as impressed..F&C was not as big a portion to boot..but the place was somewhat new and "settling in"..good place but it burnt down
No longer there, so you'll have to try another one... lovely food though.
awful

My girlfriend and I stopped by the Westerville location. The food was aweful. Her medium steak was crispy and I had to cut the black burnt stuff of my salmon to make it edible. We both finished our drinks halfway through dinner (we ate at the bar), but were never offered any seconds. The bartenders it seems was too busy fussing over the restaurant manager who was sitting next too us having a few too many in her own establishment. Definitely one of the worst dining experiences of my 40 year life!!!
will not be back
saturday 14th of janurary arround noon was my first time there. a few people were in the place waitress brought out the wrong order for my sister. she blaned it on the cook. i had the philly cheese steak. the meat was nothing but fat. half of it was uneatable. also the pop was flat.
