With a name like Daddabbo behind the recipe, you know the pizza is good. Since 1954, this tiny, carry-out only, family-run joint has baked up the perfect pies based on Mama Mary's simple, secret recipe. Not much more than a hole-in-the-wall, Chester's has been one of the best-kept-secrets in Hamilton and probably has contributed to its tourism dollars. Word of mouth and loyal customers keep this place thriving. The pizzas are all made fresh from Mary's recipe and topped with 100% "full" milk cheese -- a 50-50 mix of provolone and mozzarella, and other classic toppings, like pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, green peppers, bacon, onions, and more. Although pizza is the star here, Chester's also features a few signature hoagies served on home-baked Italian bread. Try the Sailor Boy -- shaved ham, cappacola, bologna and salami, provolone cheese and creamy Italian sauce over onions, baked until gooey -- wow! Spaghetti and lasagna are also offered, as are delicious loaves of homemade garlic bread. Chester's is worth the driveand the hunt. The place is easy to miss, so open your windows and wait for the scent of pizza to waft in.

tastytwister1 - 02/04/2007Chesters Pizza is by far the very best that you will ever put to your lips.Knowing the family and how they feel about the fresh ingredients and never changing their recipe like the other guy makes them a true Winner. I have been eating Chesters since I was a young boy back in the late 50's when my father would come home carrying a Chester's.To me each and every time I eat Chester's Pizza it is a walk back in time and for that I am grateful. To say that LaRosa's Pizza is better is because those people that rated them...have never had a Chester's Pizza.They are second to none anywhere!

newangel43 - 02/04/2007I've always loved Chester's. Grew up here in Hamilton. My family's special treat was Chester's Pizza. My father even owned an Angilo's Pizza shop, and he even ordered Chester's.
I've met Phillip Dadabbo and his wife, wonderful people. Mr. Dadobbo shared his beliefs in only serving quality pizzas, and I agree. He has done it for years and it's still the best pizza around, with plenty of toppings and qualilty ingredients. Pizza Perfection!!!!!YUMMMYYY!!!

I grew up eating this stuff. LaRosa's is good, Dewey's is better, Rubino's in Bexley (Columbus) is almost there, but Chester's is simply the best. Period!!

myprettyhorses - 12/21/2006There's no comparison to Chester's Pizza. They make their own dough and sauce and also make their sausage adding a special blend of seasonings. The flavor can't be compared to any other pizzas I have tasted. It's just uniquely delicious.
Also, the lasagna is better than any dine in restaurant's I have every been to.No better pizza around!!!
