Get ready to have every strip-mall-restaurant stereotype shattered: Elegance and opulence reign supreme from the moment diners step through Thai Orchid's door and walk past the pianist at the gleaming baby grand. Then it hits you: the spicy aroma of what can only be Thai cuisine, which makes you want to hurry up and order. But this isn't a hurry-up-and-order kind of place. The staff takes the time to describe the chef's specialties, along with anything else you ask about, and the candlelight, piano music and unique table arrangement assures privacy without isolation. The vegetarian selections are outstanding, though you'll be hard-pressed to find anything on the menu that isn't. Two sure bets: the pad thai, which is perfectly balanced with peanuts and shrimp and considered by some to be the best in the area, and the spicy Orchid Delight. The spot is a great choice for dates or for group gatherings, and to make sure you'll always have a little bit of Thai Orchid with you, carryout orders get a 10 percent discount.

    I've lived three miles from this place for the last eight years and ate there for the fist time last week. I could kick myself for not trying it out earlier. Can't wait to go again tonight!

    Although this restaurant is not easily visible from Sawmill Road, it has very good food, a nice atmosphere, and nice employees. Make sure to look for it and try it out, it is worth the effort.

    Don't be turned off by the strip mall or the neon lights outside. This Thai restaurant offers a wonderful cozy atmosphere with delightful menu items! My favorite is Pa Nang Gai - rich creamy coconut milk with curry and chicken over white rice! My first date with my husband was here and we absolutely come back for take out or when we get a chance for a nice dinner!

    My family and I have been eating at this restaurant for over ten years. The Thai and Chinese food is amazing and everyone that I have ever taken there loves the food. It is also evident that the employees really care about the restaurant. 9 times out of 10 the owner is present to make each customer feel welcome and want to come back. The atmosphere is very pleasant and compliments the food excellently.
