Named after that "other" famous old Dublin watering hole, the Brazenhead is aggressively authentic, down to the opulent bar and antique reproduction interior, handcrafted and installed by carpenters from across the pond. Dark wood, antique Guinness signs and lots of animated conversation enhance the mood, even before taking that first sip of one of the many libations. Each of the three levels has its own fireplace, and there's a patio with a spectacular view of the suburb's charming downtown. Most menu items are under $10, yet Brazenhead is a magnet for the upscale, thanks to specialty and imported brews, cozy nooks which allow for private tete-a-tetes and authentic treats like fish and chips (one of the costlier items) and Irish lamb stew. Summertime sees live, usually Irish bands, but it's also a popular meeting place year-round for everything from after-work soirees to family get-togethers. And you don't even need a passport, other than a 21-ID for alcohol.

Truely this must be the best "BAR" in the whole of Columbus. A subburban bar thats four times as big as it appears, with a medium size front patio, three good size bars, a party room, seperate conversing rooms, two floors, and the inside rivals an early Roman Catheidral.

I think the decor was nice, but the staff needs to adjust their attitudes...We were ignored, as the table of college aged guys across from us got their attention.

Just because a place has authentic Irish decor and beverages doesn't make it an Irish pub. The "pub" is in the soul, and Brazenhead is greatly lacking in soul. When's the last time they even had live Irish music?

I've only been to the one of 5th. Great place for 21-35 crowd. Gets packed with standing room only. Fast service. Nice bathrooms. Good food. But pricey drinks.

Brazen Head is a great addition to downtown Dublin. A real fooler, looking like an old house on the outside it is an authentic and fabulous Irish Pub on the inside. The decor is unique with an outstanding great room and great views from the loft. For those that like their pubs smokey, noisy and fun the downstairs bar is the place to be. Great bartenders and really good barfood and sandwhiches make this worth many return visits. Parking difficult but not impossible. Try it you'll like it.
