Terrible Steak

I ordered their rib eye and it was full of gristle. I complained and the waitress said that is "normal" for a rib eye.
I get a better steak at Ponderosa!!!
Their tossed salad was lousy too!!!

I'm new to the Top but my husband and I love it ! The Bartender remembered what I had to drink and our dinners have been delicious. The 24oz Bone- in Ribeye could be the best steak my husband has ever had- ever. I have had the daily seafood special and the trout this past weekend -stuffed with lobster was killer. I have recommended The Top to anyone that will listen.

first time I ate at the Top: good food, good service, all in all, enough to get me to come back.
Next time: called for reservations 2 weeks out, lost them and ended up leaving rather than wait two hours
Next time: called ahead three weeks from Christmas Eve, got the hours, called second time to confirm, drove thru a sleetstorm to get there, sign on the door said they were closed for all but bar traffic 90 minutes before what I had been told...
Last time: screwed up orders, screwed up charges against the credit cards in my group.
really haven't had the urge to go back. Food was ok, just the rest of the side stuff made me think "hmmmm"

Coolest room in the city. Fantastic martinis. Great service and the best steaks around. I entertain customers here frequently and we've never been unhappy. Easily outshines the corporate steakhouses. Service is warmer, value is better and the wine list is first rate.

Fine steaks, excellent and reasonably priced wine selections, attentive service. What more could you want? Just make sure you want to spend the evening with the Rat Pack on the sound system.

The Top has always been the very best steak house, and I love it because you feel at home there. The very first time I went to The Top was in the late 1970's. It was great then, and it's great now. It really is like stepping into the olden days and if you haven't been there, go for the unique atmosphere AND for the great food. Don't miss it. I promise you you'll come back again and again.
