Since 1960, this cozy hole-in-the-wall has been serving comfort food to appreciative patrons of all ages and economic levels. Neither the decor nor the prices have changed since its 'Leave It to Beaver'-era inception. You might be expected to share a booth or sit on a stool at the counter, but that's part of the ambience, which also includes what appears to be a 1900s-era cash register. Prices and the breakfast menu are posted on the wall. The printed menu changes daily and usually includes homey classics such as beef and noodles, baked garlic chicken, meat loaf and macaroni and cheese. There are generally only one or two entrees to choose from at lunch and dinner, so if you're a picky eater, call ahead for the specials. But you really can't go wrong: Everything is good, plentiful and cheap, including dessert.

I got to Nancy's and freaked out when I saw the line, but fortunately the wait is minimal thanks to their "Eat it and beat it" policy. This was the first 'real' breakfast I've had since moving here, and it was great! Two eggs, huge sausage patty, potatoes, gravy, toast, and coffee for about 5 bucks? Are you kidding?? It was great. Next time, I'll get the garbage omelette, which looked YUM.

Nancy's is an icon in Columbus! I always take friends their to eat, and they all go back because its so good! If your still hungry after you leave their then its your fault, Chip will give you as much as you can eat! Get well soon Nancy! From Wolfgang

Nancy's is the kind of place they make movies about, but you can't seem to find in real life. The food is "home cookin' great". At lunch if you don't seem to be full, Cindy will load your plate with more, without asking and at no extra charge. All the networks have been there to get the "man on the street" opinions. And yet it is the genuine neighborhood atmosphere that make this a special place. The pictures on the wall alone are woth the trip. (They say all those whose pictures hang on the walls have patroned the place, except, of course, Elvis. And even that is up for debate.)

Congrats to the Buckeyes for being #1! Go Steelers ! (There are some of who will always believe in you!) Incase you didn't know, Nancy's is decorated with the Buck eyes and Steelers. Now about the food.....The food is to die for! Garbage omlets,fried red potatos,and thick bacon comes a plenty when Ed cooks! You always get more then you pay for there! The staff are the best anyone could ever ask for! Can't forget about Cindy,she makes the best beef and noodles and mashed potatoes! So when you walk in as a stranger,you leave as part of the family! Best place to eat! P.S. you will get my bill for gastric bypass from all them garbage omlets! Ha ha ha !
