A favorite spot of students and trendies on a budget, Jack & Benny's is a great place to get stuffed until you drop. The omelettes include standard three-cheese and vegetable versions, as well as some unique varieties, such as those with apple bits or spicy chorizo sausage. Pancakes come in a variety of flavors, from multigrain to chocolate to coconut. Much of the menu is a la carte, so you can order as many eggs and sides as you want, depending on your budget or appetite. Try house specialties such as Benny's Mom and Jack's Dad (oh, we hope no one pulled a Hannibal Lecter here), a steak-cum-pork chop dish and corned beef hash, respectively. Lunch, which starts after 11AM and is only served during the week, includes burgers, sandwiches and hot dogs, as well as a few salads and soups. Located in an old building with funky wooden floors and walls plastered with OSU and other sports memorabilia, Jack & Benny's a real trip down greasy-spoon lane.

callaoman - 01/26/2005I know there are great places all over Columbus, but since there is one and only one Jack & Benny's, it's no wonder that most people have never tried the place.
I am glad I did.
That place is great. The staff is friendly while very professional. Never had a bad meal or experience. They the Chorizo in one of the many dishes, but you can't go wrong with the classic standard fare either. Buskeye (chocolate/peanut butter chips) pancakes will totally blow you away!
Like the Governator said when he was there last year...I'll be back!Great Food Fun Place
rossibee1 - 12/09/2004We live in Clintonville and this is our family's favorite place to dine hands down. My two young boys wake up on Saturday mornings not asking to watch cartoons but begging us to go to Jack and Benny's. I tell them to get dressed quickly because they fill us fast. The food is outstanding and prepared right in front of you and the servers even know us by name! My boys like the hashbrowns and bacon. I have tried just about everything on the menu and I have not been dissapointed yet. These folks at Jack & Benny's have made breakfast fun for the pallet. They have kicked it up a notch by offering items on the menu that you could not find anywhere elese in town but still keeping it easy on the pocket book. You have to give it a try.

liblax - 12/08/2004I told all my friends about Jack & Benny's, and they all loved it! I feel the place is a fun place to eat, and as well to eat cool fun people. I always love getting Chocolate chip pancakes! They are the boom! If you want great yummy food for a good deal go to Jack & Benny's! I bet you'll love it like I do. Well, I hope you vote J&B's number One! :D

idolize55 - 08/10/2002This is simply one of those places that great for breakfast, IF you're lucky enough to get a table. The tables are usually always packed here, and with good reason: Very cheap prices, very friendly service, and good 'comfort' food that's hard to resist. Give the chorizo a try!
