Without a doubt, the best around! My wife and I LOVE their salsa, queso and the Enchilada Enstancia. I am always telling people to try it out. I only wish they were open on Sundays.....but hey.....everyone needs a day of rest. ;-)

Chile Verde has it all. Wonderful food, great service from a very friendly staff. Best margaritas in town. The owner Tom is terrific, outgoing, funny and caring. This restaurant is NUMBER #1 in our book and should be NUMBER #1 for all of Columbus Ohio.

Good Food, Good Service

While it took several minutes before the staff figured out who our waiter would be, we were finally greeted with an apology, several baskets of chips and salsa and complimentary queso dip. The service from that point on was excellent. I did not enjoy my seafood chimichanga (not a lot of taste) but everyone else's dishes were full of flavor and beautifully presented. My only complaint is that I should've ordered something else!

THERE IS NOTHING ELSE THAT COMPARES TO THIS PLACE. I HAVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR YEARS AND HAVE COME TO KNOW THE STAFF. THEIR ESSENTIAL POSITIONS (CHEF, BAR, AND MANAGEMENT) HAVE ALL BEEN THERE OVER SIX YEARS, WHICH IS REMARKABLE. I KNOW THEY HAVE CHOSEN TO NOT ADD MORE STORE OR GET BIGGER SO AS NOT TO SACRIFICE THE QUALITY OF THEIR PRODUCT. THIS SEEMS RARE, BUT I AM THANKFUL FOR THAT EVERY TIME I EAT THERE. THE SALSA IS SIMPLY THE BEST, WITH MARGS NOT FAR BEHIND. THE GRUMPY GORMET WAS EXACTLY RIGHT!!!

New Mexican and Mexican foods are two entirely different cuisines! I went for South of the Border and was stuck in Texas...the Grumpy Gourmet should know better.

I happened to catch this section about restuarants on my AOL homepage, and wanted to know who was voted the #1 Mexican restruarant in Columbus. No surprise. I've eaten at Chile Verde Cafe many times. In my opinion, it's the only Mexican food place in town. I love the Bar-b-que Grilled Fajita Burrito. After ording it the first time, I have never changed. Why mess with a great eating experience? My wife orders different things, and loves them all, so I figure all the food is great. Blend the food with the friendliness of the owners and staff, and you've got a winning combination. The only downside I can see is you need to get there a little earlier on the weekends to avoid waiting in line. Yet, if I had to wait someplace, Chile Verde Cafe would be the place I would choose. The reward is so worth the wait.

Wow full of flavor

Well my friend and I and my sister eat here and the sm. chicken burrito/ green sauce and potatos and beans is all we order .When you get hooked on this, wow you almost cant look at anything on the menu and I'm sure everything else is as great ,not to mention the salsa reg. and hot the hot salsa is made with habanero pepers WOW if you missed this place you've missed it all !!!
