You won't see shamrock accoutrements on the windows or corned-beef-and-cabbage platters on the menus, but the Treehouse in Tremont is sometimes referred to as an Irish pub. Sure, the bar does offer one of the best pints of Guinness in town (an honor it shares with Flannery's and Parnell's), but the Treehouse's cred as an Irish tavern may have as much to do with the bar's ambience as it does its beer list. Much like the finest watering holes in Ireland, the Treehouse is a beloved neighborhood gathering place, and a cozy, homey atmosphere in which to mingle with singles -- whether you're a Tremont regular or just in from Galway. Much of the bar's charm is based in its unique design and the craftsmanship of its decor; everything here is handmade, from the tree-stump stools to the moody ironwork light fixtures to the enormous faux tree at the center of the bar. Then there's the gorgeous patio, with its cast-iron trimmings and candlelit charm. It's the perfect place to enjoy another Treehouse exclusive: the Stoli Doli, a pineapple martini-type drink that's the bar's signature. Happy hour, from 4-8PM weekdays, are also popular.

Overrated!!!!!!!!!
There was a time when the Treehouse might have been a good hangout, but that time was four or five years ago. The service and patrons have gone significantly down hill since then while prices curiously continue to rise. You can't charge downtown prices while trying to be a neighborhood Irish bar. Especially when you're surrounded with far better competition (Southside, Lincoln Park Pub, Edison's, etc).

nice bar, but too smokey. progressive states like california and new york prohibit smoking in public spaces, including bars and restaurants. when will ohio catch up? will the treehouse take the bold step of becoming the first bar in cleveland to go smoke-free? if it did, it would get a ton of free publicity and a lot more business from non-smokers.
GREAT BAR!

Treehouse is a great bar...I always have a great time when I go there. It's a very intimate and homey place. I highly recommend it!

In response to Letdown77 I think I can explain what happened. You must have received a Labatts. An honest mistake commonly made. We apologize and hope you return for a Bass.

went there last night for the first time and ordered a BASS. what i got was NOT Bass. So I asked for the barmaid to replace it, which she did.. but I got another pint of the same mystery beer..tasted like a crappy domestic lager and it was yellow in color (bass is amber colored) I drink Bass regularly and there was no mistaking that whatever was in that glass wasn't it. what the hell??? for the pricey pints there i want what i paid for! based on that first impression i won't be going back...
