These little piggies wallow in barbecue sauce, not mud, and on plates, not in pens. Backwoods rustica meets contempo casual style in this chain of northern restaurants serving Southern food. The specialty of the house is, of course, barbecued pulled pork, served on a platter or on a bun. And then there's the "hog stack": a gigundo sandwich that features grilled pork loin topped with bacon (yes, more pork!), cheese, onions, coleslaw and a hockey-puck-size onion ring. But flavor options here aren't limited to barbecued meats. Diners can snack on a very reasonably priced salmon salad, prepared with Oriental dressing and mandarin oranges to add an exotic touch. Desserts live up to the precedent established by the main dishes: They're plentiful in portion and highly caloric in content. There's a down-home appeal to the glazed pineapple upside-down cake, but a slab of peanut butter pie could be equally satisfying for those who seek a sugar high.

Ordered a Prime Rib Sandwich and Ribs. The Prime rib was gross, overcooked and over salted. The sides arrived cold. Ribs were ok, nothing special. I was forced to come here because Bubba's Q in Avon was closed. Next time I will wait, instead of being disappointed.

I was so impressed by the personal service and great food. Everything is fresh made, the management and service is one of the best around. they are so child Friendly. I love bringing my kids there. Even better they are the only restaurant Ive ever seen focus on our economy and its hardships. Keep doing what you are doing. I will keep comin back. You will always have my business.

I hope readers don't go by the ratings for best bbq, but read these reviews!!! I wish I had heeded that advice.This place is gross!! greasy, small portions, horrible waitresses!! Not one employee looked to be enjoying working there!! Sides were cold, ribs tough as leather, and fatty!
Who in the world votes for these "best of" place??? Big was of time and Money!! Gave it one star cause there is nothing lower.

Went to this place in Jan 2005, was great, but went last week and has changed..Had new management, and the worse, unhappy waitresses ..This is not the Hoggies of old! Smaller portions, overpriced, super greasy, and burned Cornbread(that used to be my fav also) took away St. louis ribs(my fav!!) We used to like the loaded nachos..let me tell you, they aren't "loaded" anymore.. It has been reduced from a WOW appetizer to a HO HUM not worth it, I paid how much for this? appetizer...I felt like they should paying ME to eat that food.. not the other was around!!

YUCK!! PITIFUL!!! What a WASTE!!!! GREASY, COLD SIDES, BURNED CORNBREAD, Worst waitresses I have ever encountered. My wIfe and I COULDN'T even eat our food!!! After 2 bites we SENT IT BACK!!! I usually give places a second chance, but not this one!! And the mgr had the nerve to tell us his best cook was there that night?!?! This Place should have gone out of business by now !!! Worst BBQ EVER!! And we drove all the way from NY 450 miles away to sample "Clevelands' Best" ......TERRIBLE!! YUCK

Employees treated like dirt

Hoggy's treats PIGS better than they treat PEOPLE!

Hoggy's closed the Westlake store... FIRED managers and staff from the Valley View location... and brought in employees from the failed store to replace the ones they fired.

The new management is unreasonable and rude! I predict ALL these people will be looking for new jobs by the end of summer.
