With over two hundred items on the menu, it's easy to see why The Cheesecake Factory is such a wildly popular spot. From avocado egg rolls to fish tacos, the creatively prepared dishes certainly deliver on the promise of "something for everyone." Diners who are willing to wait in the seriously long lines (The Cheesecake Factory does not accept reservations) are rewarded both with good service and tasty, modern American cuisine served in mammoth portions. Truly indecisive diners will have problems selecting, but most any choice is a sound choice. Try Evelyn's Favorite Pasta, a super substantial concoction of pasta (of course), broccoli, dried tomatoes, eggplant, peppers, olives, pine nuts and parmesan. For a tasty home-style entree, choose the honey maple pork tenderloin, roasted, glazed and served with mashed potatoes. And did somebody say cheesecake? The Cheesecake Factory restaurants were born out of The Cheesecake Factory bakeshops, so for dessert, cheesecake is the way to go. If ever there was a reason to break a diet, it is the Godiva chocolate cheesecake, an uber-rich confection created in honor of The Cheesecake Factory's 25th anniversary. -- Marie Andrusewicz

Lowered quantity & quality
Used to be quite good when they first opened. Noticeably less food & quality in recent couple years. Appetizers were embarrassing.

If you are looking for typical "chain" restaurants then go to Cheesecake Factory. Service was poor, portions were small, mediocre food and prices too high to warrant a better than 2 star rating.
Too Many Choices Great Service
I went to the Cheesecake Factory at Crocker Park for lunch. Our server was very attentive, even left the menues so we could decide while we ate what we wanted for dessert. The burgers are huge, and the Lousianna Chicken pasta was very tastey. It took us the whole meal to decide what dessert, then the server told us there was two not mentioned on the menu. My daughter got the vanilla bean, which she has had before. I tried the Macadamia carmel which was fantastic!. The meal and cheesecake both had to be doggie bagged because of the generous portions. The parking was the only thing I had a problem with, was a bit of a walk to get into the restaurant , but worth doing it again SOON!!!!
bad service dec/2006

i took two friends who have never eaten there before, i was dissepointed with my meal and one of my friends dod not get what they ordered. neither one wanted to go back. i have had good food and service here but not this time. our server was terrible she was only at our table twice, we had to ask other servers for things. She took my drink to refill it and didnt bring it back. I had to stop another server 10-15 min later to ask for another drink. on a good note the cheesecake we took home was great.
bad service

I took my daughter and one of her friends to the Cheesecake Factory in Lyndhurst. Our visit was beyond disappointing. We had to wait too long and I never received my entrée. My daughter and her friend are both about six years old. We were told to expect a ten to twenty minute wait. We were given a table a little before twenty minutes. That would be fine, except people who had arrived after we had were able to obtain a table before we did. Once we were seated, we were placed in a separate room that was nearly empty. Why were we asked to wait twenty minutes when this room was available? A young man quickly took the orders of my daughter and her friend. I asked him to return so I could take a thorough look at the menu. He returned in a few minutes with their drinks and took my order. The ladies orders promptly arrived and they dug in. By the time my daughter and her friend finished their lunch and were interested in dessert, my entrée was still nowhere to be seen. I then flagged a server, not the one who had waited on our table, and asked her to cancel my entrée and asked if she would take a dessert order. She canceled my entrée, then took the dessert order. A few minutes later our server appeared to apologize and explained that my entrée had probably been delivered to another table. He then explained that the manager would come talk with me. The manager then arrived at our table. She reiterated that my entrée had probably been delivered to another table and asked if I still wanted it. It seemed to me that the manager thought I should be satisfied with the explanation of a misdirected entrée. When it was discovered that my entrée never arrived, our server did not seem surprised. It struck me that the manager not only had heard these complaints before, she was going through the same-old approach to dealing with the complaints.
Cheesecake Portions Smaller
I have been there a few times and everytime I eat there I have a delicious meal. But I went today and could not believe how much smaller the portions of the cheesecake slices have gotten. That's enough to make me not want to go back and I probably won't. This is just how you lose customers.
Not Great At All
I say the cheesecake factory on the food network and it looked great, but I will never return. The food is not good enough for those prices. I wasn't as bothered by the prices as I was the seating. We sat at a table that had two chairs and a bench. There were two other tables on top of ours and when anyone came or went from another table they were on top of us and our food. Not to mention that the waitress taking the next tables order had her butt in my face at least a dozen times. That place was an over priced bust. Not worth the time or hassle.
Not on a Monday

Visited this restaurant on a Monday lunchtime at 2 p.m. Asked for 1st available table; hostess said wait would be 10-20 minutes. We waited 20 minutes despite the abundance of empty tables in the restaurant. At bar, ordered fruit smoothies - fruit garnish was not fresh. When we were finally seated, table was dirty. Waiter had to repeat my order three times before he got it right - brought out wilted salad appetizer (the tomato and cucumber was totally withered) ahead of my companion's order. We didn't wait to see what food would come next and (after a long wait)left. Had only had a take-out cheesecake previously - this is the most I would recommend.
Airics488's Review

Ok, so i waited 3hrs to get in..finally sat down.. believe it or not i wanted a steak, the tenderloin looking good at $20 but the waitress talked me into the filet for $24.95 I was told it was fork tender and fabulous.... Just the opposite, it was terrible! crispy! overcooked... For $25, that filet better be dancing at the table... I was very very disappointed.. Now I know, why order a steak at a Cheesecake place.. There are lots of items on the menu.. I just happened to land on the wrong one... Didn't even have a piece of cheesecake...$6-$9 for a slice.. Heck, go to Giant Eagle and buy the whole friggin cake.. Dollar for dollar, this meal sucked.. would never go back.. On the other hand, right next door is Claddah's Irish Pub.. better pricing better food more personality.
