Food far surpassed first impression

When I first walked in Red, I was greeted by a young woman AFTER she droped a menu on the floor and yscreamed "DAMNIT!" in a crowded bar/lobby. Right off the bat I was curious to see how the rest of my evening would go, based on the fact that a staff member would be so unprofessional at the front door. I must say my steak was so flavorful and tender! The best strip I've had here in Cincinnati. The wait staff was very attentive and much more professional.

This is an absolutely fabulous restaurant. Great food, great service, great feeling. At times not as quiet as we would have liked, but certainly at no fault of the establishment.
Would recommend again and again. Will serve as a special place in the future.

By Far The BEST Steak In Town

The first thing I must say is that the steak is "out of this world".
I enjoy fine dinning often and Ruby's does a great job, but they do not hold a candle to the steak that Red has to offer. I have been there twice and the food is very consistant. Price is fair and the ambiance is very up-beat, yet cozy. If you enjoy Steak and a fine list of wine's, This is the place. The valet parking is also great because it was so easy to go to dinner at the square. I give Red 5 Stars.

A very attractive restaurant,however ill served by overpowering "my favourite is--" waiter.Excellent appetisers were then followed by very poor entrees -- a"lobster thermidor" proved,instead, to be a very poorly executed and grossly overpriced stuffed lobster,the forgotten asparagus arrived late and undercooked,the lobster shells,treated with oil, presumably to enhance appearance,proved a "real handfull",and, with no receptacle to dispose of them when corralled, soon littered sideplates etc.
A great disappontment !!

Great setup and staff

The place is beautiful with a New York feel. The agave shooters were amazing as was the shrimp red appetizer, although that was served weird on one piece of bruschetta.

We both ordered steaks which were reasonably priced; in the future I would go with the oscar over the Ledford which I tried since it was named after the chef. The sweet potato medallions were incredible.

Service was great and the overall experience was wonderful, will definitely be back.

The best meal I've ever had

Dining at Red was probably the best dining experiance I have ever had. The presentation of the food was great, every bite of every plate was amazing, the wait staff were both friendly and professional, and the atmosphere was great! There is no other place in the city were a couple, or a group of friends can go that is like Red. I would and will recommend Red to my friends, family, and anyone who will hear it. If you don't dine here, you're missing out!

Had dinner recently and must say the SERVICE was top notch...seemed like there was 1 wait staff for every Customer and they were on the ball. The food was hit or miss, however...had the Tiger Shrimp for an appetizer and it was not very fresh, should not smell "shrimpy"!! My date had a lobster dish and it was very good...my crabcake had too much filler and not enough CRAB, and had an unimaginative presentation. The desserts were just OK. I noticed some diners getting the steak and those looked pretty good. I will probably be back but this place could use a few cues from the Ruby restaurants.
