Meat lovers rejoice, because this is a carnivore's paradise. Nick's is the place for chops, steaks and all things meat. The restaurant's fare reverts back to times when a "steak dinner" was considered a luxury and martinis and Manhattans beforehand were a staple. Originally built as a winery, the building was converted to a restaurant and bar while retaining its wine cellar for private parties. Dimly lit rooms and dark paneled walls add to the steakhouse atmosphere that attracts mostly the over-40 crowd. Entrees highlight heavy German and European flavors, such as in the Normandy pork chops that are served in a cream sauce and topped with sauteed apple slices and walnuts. Veal chops, sausage, prime rib and steaks of all sizes also grace the menu. If you're looking for light fare, look elsewhere.

  • Absolutely the best in Cincy.

    Review rating : 5out of 5   pwcky - 08/09/2007

For me, Nick's is the best in Cincy. The others that were rated higher do not deserve it. They are over priced, over crowded, and rely on being trendy rather than good food at good prices. Nick's rocks!!

First thing you notice is its ageing building when you get inside it just gets worse. The lighting is keep very low to hide all the wore out carpet tables and other furnishing.Things like mix macthed plates and silver ware bothered me too. Most nights you don`t wait to be seated and thats good. The foods ok the portions are fair the price its not to bad. Before I go back they need to do some remodeling and updating.

i thought Nick's was one of the best places for your money to eat. Nick seems like a great boss to work for. Many people were coming in and Nick would greet them as if they were his best friend. He seems a little tough but he really is a good guy. The food is amazing which i give major props to the cook James. While i was eating there it seemed so calm and everyone was very nice. The service was good and i cant wait to be back!!

The food and service was fantastic. The owner kept walking around and yelling at his employees. Treated them with no respect.. I also heard him say a few racist words at one of the employees in the kitchen.. He was one of the worst employers that i have ever seen.
