Overdone and over blown
Well,,,, I like meat, yes I do,,, and yes I know it, when I taste it. This is a definite one to miss. As others have said, Jeff is trying to live off his past reputation. This place is way over priced, and definitely overrated. The food, while passable, maybe even good to the average person, was nowhere near the value of the price point charged. There most certainly was quantity, but for a restaurateur, he and his staff have made the cardinal rule don't razal dazzle them with quantity when quality is what will bring them back. He has definitely lost the touch. I have visited many of his establishments and with the exception of the Precinct; his arrogance for being the self-annotated âkingâ has really gone to his head. A dangerous and potentially fatal attitude for a restaurateur in a town of real food junkies.

Ruby's - everyone thinks because it's associated with Jeff Ruby then it must be great, but it's no where near that. Food is fair, service is snobby and you need to take out a mortgage to pay the bill.
"Value" Challenged

This is a restaurant living on its past glory. While my steak was good, it was no better than one I've had from restaurants at half the price. We were a party of six and some of the food was warm while other selections were hot. I believe they placed some of the food under heat lamps while preparig the rest of the food.
The restroom (men's) could be cleaner. Not as Good at Belterra
We had a poor experience at JR at Belterra. The steaks were about average and the presentation poor with the plates not even heated. Lots of kissing-up by the service staff if you like that but don't go for the food.
Steak!!! My Favorite Food
Jeff Ruby's is the best! My husband took me to Jeff Ruby's for my birthday last July. I don't just like steak, I LOVE steak so I was on a mission to find the best steak I could and I found it here. The service was also incredible. I will say it was very pricey but every mouth watering bite was worth it. I think we will go for our anniversary that is coming up.
Best Steak--Ever
My boyfriend and I recently dined at Jeff Ruby's to celebrate the New Year. We both had the best steaks we had ever eaten. The entire meal was great from beginning to end. It is a bit pricey, but we thought it was worth it. The service was good, especially the back waiter who worked harder than anyone in the place.
Good, but not for the price

Had the Serloin strip steak, with mushrooms and asparagus. the veggies were great, the steak was just good, but not great by a long shot.
The place for steaks

Hands down the best place for a great filet mignon. A little pricey but if you have that special occasion and want something top shelf.........this is the place. Wonderful service too
Wonderful
Had a business dinner there recently...must admit my experience was BETTER than expected. One of the best steaks I have ever had. Service was wonderful. I will be back......Oh, and COME ON Cincinnati people, how could you rate LONGHORN above this place?!!! JEEESH!!
over rated

My dinner was ok at best. I had the bone in ribeye with the foie gras. For my money Jags is much better.
