With a local reputation as beefy as the fare, this cavernous, clamorous steakhouse is perfect for troops of carnivores. But with a sophisticated wine list -- which includes a '00 Stag's Leap from Napa, and a '02 Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio -- diners will find more than they bargained for, though not at bargain prices. The menu contains the usual steakhouse fare, from boneless prime rib to fresh fish, and even some little surprises such as broccoli hollandaise, and a creative range of salads. Stone crab claws are also available in season, along with local and far-flung varieties of clams and oysters. The crowd is a ravenous mix of commuting suits and families. There's room for everybody, so diners can feel free to linger and drink at table after dinner. Still, a reservation is wise, especially on the weekends. -- Simon Van Booy

Tatyana, owner of tete-a-tete has been outstanding with my hair care. I appreciate how she listens to me and then gives me the hair cut I want. All the stylists are very friendly and do listen to their clients. I recommend this salon for a quality salon experience.

  • This restaurant is excellent!!

Pulling up to a parking lot full of Aston Martins, Mercedes Benz, BMW, and just about every other beautiful car. The atmosphere was very warm and energetic, as you get greeted by the host. We sat right by the fire place and ordered the lobster cocktail, lump crab meat cocktail and the porterhouse for two. Let me just tell you I go to a different steak house every friday and order generally the same thing every time...but this place was absolutely delectable. From the extremely nice and professional waiter to the very attentive bus boy. I highly recommend this restaurant it is a wonderful experience accommodated with fabulous food!!!!

  • Slightly disappointed

    Review rating : 3out of 5   enfermera911 - 09/08/2007

After having eaten at Bryant & Cooper's on a few occaisions, we decided to take our future son-in-law to dinner to celebrate his completion of Law School. Overall, we were disappointed in the meal; we chose the porterhouse for 3 and other members of our group chose the T-bone steak, prime ribs and filet mignon. All of the meat was tough which we found hard to believe given our previous experiences. In addition, we understood the dress code to be business casual, no jeans or sneakers. Several patrons presented in jeans and sneakers the like of which I would we wear to weed my garden and nothing was said to them. What a shame on all accounts!!

  • Simply the Best...

Outside of Lugar's in Brooklyn. B & C is the best outside of the city (and in my top 3 even including the city) have been here 100's of times and will say that it may be expensive...but it is worth every penny.
Veal is always tender and well prepared. Steaks from Prime rib to Porterhouses are well prepared and also tender. They are so ready for eating, that they almost cut themselves to jump into your mouth. Sides are big enough for 2 big eaters and desserts are the best around. (I especially like the chessecake and the chocolate souffle`) All in all, this is a steakman's delight.

I have visited B&C at least 6 times and never had anything but an excellent rib-eye and lobster each and every time, cooked to requested temp of my guests. Yes it is a high-priced dinner like all the other steak houses on LI but I believe the qulaity of the food and service to be exceptional. Early reservations (6:00 PM)weeknights have been best way to dine. It's noisy later but I found Morton's to be much worse.

Third time in a rough I got a tough strip steak. That's enough for me.

  • The most OBNOXIOUS people eat

    Review rating : 3out of 5   jamesgior - 02/20/2007

Food is o.k. but all of the people who work there and eat there are rude and VERY OBNOXIOUS. A place for people to show off and act like fools. They may be RICH and yet have NO CLASS....
