i live in huntington all my life, been here a few times , still dont get what the big thrill is suppose to be. food good sure, great no not for the price, i could think of much better places to eat for the money

amazing disappointment

After all the years of hearing about how good this establishment is, I finally had the opportunity last night. What a disappointment.

The food was okay not to die for (e.g., mediocre (cold) stuffed artichoke) but the service was the worst. We had a waiter who either pulled the greatest disappearing act only to show up at the end (tip time?) or he stood behind me but wouldn't take our order. We watched diners on our left and right get served while we sat and watched with amazement. We had to ask for the wine list and for the evening specials. This was not a comfortable experience. Also, the sound level was unbearable, you couldn't hear or speak. The room was also way too dark making it far too difficult to read the menu. This is NOT romantic. When you walk in off the street, it appears that you are walking into a black abyss. For the positive, I will say that the wine list was one of the most reasonable I have seen at a "high end" establishment. Needless to say, I do not recommend and will not return.

I hope life is better at their sister restaurant James Dean in Hicksville.

Made it to Piccolo's for the first time. Magnificent food, great service, and nice piano bar to boot. Will definately return!

To anyone that likes to dine with the perfect combination of everything a person could want when they go out to dine. Piccolo's is undoubtedly the best restaurant around anywhere. The staff, the food the atmosphere is so great, it is absolutely a pleasure to dine at this establishment!!!!!

No question Piccolo has got the right stuff! I can't tell you how amazing and accomodating they are.I have eaten at some of the best restaurants in the country and I always come back here for the reliable good food and the staff's ability to make evryone feel like they are a star. I have no complaints. And the french doors are great! I can't wait until the summer.
