There are more than a dozen pizza places in Commack alone, but it seems (at least from the crowds some evenings) as if everyone in town eats their slices at Emilio Branchinelli's restaurant. Casual but professional -- the guys behind the counter wear neat white aprons and are very polite -- Emilio's offers a full Italian menu, but even if you're there for a sit-down meal, you'll probably still grab a fresh slice from one of the pies, which fly from the ovens with more frequency than flapjacks flipped at the nearby IHOP. The hard part is choosing what slice to get, from the glistening two-cheese white pizza to the cheeseless, garlicky marinara to the Sicilian, which rivals most of the boring slabs served up in the Five Boroughs. But be warned: as you wade through the noisy throng to place your order on Friday and Saturday nights, you'll think you're on the floor of the Stock Exchange.

was just at Emilio's and had a drink at the bar and nearly fell off my chair when I got the bill of 11.50 per drink. Are they kidding? this is a glorified pizza restauarnt . Alos the service is consistently lousy
Rip off
I ordered the family Salumeria platter. Basically an antipasto platter. 2 pieces of fresh mozzarella 3 slices of tomato 3 or 4 slices of salami and some vegetables. All together no more than 2 cups of food. $ 24.95. My daughter and I shared it but there was not enough for the two of us let alone a family.
Food A++, service/attitude F-
I have been eating theresince they first opened. The food is great!! The server's attitudes and attentiveness leave much to be desired...
You lost another 2 customers
My husband and I have been eating at Emilio's for the past 25 years. Unfortunately, during my last 3 visits, I've ordered the same dish (Parpadello Authentico). I ask for fresh mozzarella to be added, no grated cheese and light on the tomato sauce. It was made differently each time i've ordered it. The second time it was served with goat cheese. On all 3 occassions it was returned to the kitchen causing my husband to eat his meal alone while I waited for mine and then I ate alone. Last night, my dish was returned twice, not once. First time it was served with grated parmesan and when they returned it, the second time, it came out with no riccotta. I was so aggravated at this point that I ended up leaving without eating. We've put up with the noise and long wait in the past because we knew we would enjoy our meal, however, we don't feel it's worth the wait and aggravation any more. Emilio, stop looking at $'s and look after your customers before you lose all of them.
BURNT PIZZATHEN BURNT PASTA
I was disappointed. Ordered mini margarita pizza with fresh marzano tomato,fresh basil and mozzarrella. With all that the mini pizza arrived burnt. SHHHhhh.
Next, pasta dish arrived. Covered in Mozzerrella cant see pasta, but it was burnt too. Some rigatoni were actually fried.
Watress replaced platter. Second platter was starched out. Pasta broke and fragile. This occurrs when the pasta water needs changing. Stick to the regular pizza. It did APPEAR appealing. Pass on everything else. ArrivaderciOUTSTANDING
Pizza & pasta dishes are the best. I love the Old Fashioned Pizza...reminds me of L&B in Brooklyn
a consistently good restaurant

I have been there dozens of time and have always been amazed at how good the food was, and how good the service is, in spite of being very busy. It is a noisy, busy place--so if you dont like people having a good time, dont go. If you can stand a little boisterous chatter, go and have some really good italian food there.
