You could catch your dinner on one of the fishing boats that sail off the pier in Sheepshead Bay, or you could take a shortcut across the street at Randazzo's. Since 1920, this unpretentious clam bar has been dishing up fresh seafood raw, fried or cooked under its famous spicy tomato sauce. The giant plate of lobster pasta -- chunks of pinky-white sweet meat, royal-red sauce and slithering noodles -- can feed two people for less than $20. Beloved by locals, Randazzo's even has a to-go window facing busy Emmons Ave. Order a half-dozen raw clams or oysters -- plucked from the avalanche of shaved ice and pried open before your eyes -- and eat them on the canal's pedestrian bridge. Everything on the menu is fresh and delicious, and the staff is attentive and honest, you always see the same faces, they greet you by the door before your meal & after. And the Sauce.. hot or medium..the sauce!..it just bursts in yor mouth with flavor! 5 stars! * * * * *

PriNcEsS gLiTa - 05/13/2008I have been coming to this place for years, im hooked!! The calamari is so tender & the sauce is simply amazing! I can even eat it with a spoon!! I was there mothers day and though it was PACKED, i still had an outragous meal. The waitresses are wonderful and you get treated like family! Keep doing what you do & ill keep coming back!
