Brooklyn Brewery is exactly what its name implies: An actual working brewery set in a Victorian-era former steel foundry in Williamsburg. The 70,000-square-foot complex includes the brewery, a warehouse, a company store and the Tasting Room, a 300-seat facility that serves as a gallery for local artists and a space for community events. On Friday evenings, the hospitable hopsters throw open the doors from 6-10PM and offer pints of their famous products --Brooklyn Lager, East India Pale Ale, Brooklyn Brown, Pennant Ale, Pumpkin Ale, Monster Barleywine and more, including the charmingly-named Blanche De Brooklyn -- for a nominal amount.
