The debate over which city has the superior pizza, New York or Chicago, may never be settled, but many of those who endorse the Gotham faction consider Verrazano Pizza a home away from home. Wide slices of flat, cheesy pizza with a golden brown crust, just like they make them at Ray's Original, are hand-tossed, baked in a brick oven and served with all the traditional toppings. The critical cheese-to-tomato-sauce ratio, which separates quality pizza from the stuff in your grocer's freezer, is either meticulously measured here, or they've been doing it so long that the perfect mix comes naturally. Pastas, subs and calzones are also available. Verrazano is mostly a carry-out place, though they have a few seats for those who can't wait to dig in. -- David Hofstede

Jenromo57 - 07/09/2008I first tried Verrazano after seeing it voted as one of Vegas' best last year, and have remained faithful ever since...the crust is always crisp and the sausage is super tasty, not too salty or greasy. Yum! I think I know what's for dinner tonight!

I think this thing is broken. Didn't take my review, so, here it is.
You will not find a better NY style pizza in all of Vegas. I been eating here since 1981, shortly after I moved to Vegas. A girlfriend introduced me to Verrazano's in High School. This is the best!- DiMike - 07/03/2008

Thank god I found Verrazano's, this pizza would be awesome back east not just out here. HANDS DOWN BEST PIE IN VEGAS. now if I could only get some phillies or eagles stuff up on their walls I'd never leave!
outstanding NY pizza
CCSunsetRider - 06/30/2008A friendly staff and owner makes for a cozy restaurant, where the food is consistently terrific. The pizza is tremendous, and is as close as you'll find to NYC- Long Island pizza in Vegas. The prices are also reasonable. I've been coming here 15+ years, and have never been disappointed.
