There were probably a few gasps among the first Bellagio Buffet customers when they were told that dinner would run more than $30 per person. Isn't the buffet supposed to be the low-priced casino dining alternative? It takes guts to open a serve-yourself outlet where the tab more than doubles what other resorts charge, but it's a testament to the quality of the food and the opulence of the surroundings at Bellagio that patrons still line up for the privilege of carrying their own plate.

Most of the items offered in the serving lines, particularly at dinner, are not generally found on a buffet. Guests choose from such highfalutin options as leg of lamb, venison, Kobe beef, duck breast, steamed clams, Mako shark, salmon sashimi and apple-smoked sturgeon. Appetizer, salad and side order items are equally enticing, from woodland mushrooms and haricots verts to winter citrus compote. There's also a make-your-own pasta bar. Almost no one saves room for dessert, but one look at the creamy confections and you may be tempted to force yourself. The Tuscan-style decor is predictably upscale, and having two separate serving lines for smoking and non-smoking patrons was an excellent idea. But this is still the adults-oriented Bellagio, so bear in mind that no one under 18 is admitted unless they are guests at the hotel.

    I went to the Bellagio after hearing that their Sunday Brunch was out of this world. I was not impressed at all. Not that it was bad. But nothing to write home about. Especially after hearing so many people brag about it. Personally I think the LeVillage Buffet at the Paris beats it by a long shot. The Breakfast buffet is overwhelming with choices and with taste. Anyone that I have sent here agrees.

    As a local here in Las Vegas, we don't usually go to the buffets on the strip, they are usually expensive and not worth the money. Since I was given a gift certificate to the Belagio, my husband and I decided to use it at the Buffet, and I can tell you honestly, it was delicious. The fish was out of this world, the Beef Wellington was so wonderful, the Kobe Beef was excellent and I loved the Venison, (poor Bambi). It was absolutely wonderful and I only had wished I could take some food home for leftovers, lol

    With all the bad reviews on the Bellagio Buffet.Better to Eat at the Fremont Hotel and casino they have a good buffet at half the price

    We have eaten at the Bellagio buffet and it was wonderful, but if you like seafood, you must eat at the Rio "Seafood Buffet". It's different than their regular buffet. It's pricier and there is seafood from around the world and as much lobster as you can eat. Bring a large, empty tummy.

    The food wasn't bad although I think its way too expensive for what you get. I think that the Paris buffet at $25 is just as good if not better. What is worse is that if you are a party of 8 they make you pay 18% mandatory tip up front. You could get the worst service in the world, and you would still have to pay 18%. I don't mind paying 18% for a full service tip top wonderful meal where they do everything even cut your meal for you, but for buffet?????? give me a break--the normal tip is $1 to $2 per person.

    First of all, I have always thought that the buffet at the Bellagio was far and away, the best in Vegas. I haven't eaten at the Bellagio in about eight years. We were in Vegas last June and were looking forward to the buffet, but just ran out of time on our long weekend. Lucky for us, we found an unbelievable buffet before our flight out on Sunday.......the Sterling Brunch at Bally's. Folks, this is a wonderful buffet.......anything you could possibly imagine....the best lobster bisque anywhere. It's a bit spendy ($75 bucks a pop) but definetyly worth every penny. We'll definetly do it again.
