Not my idea of great dining
My husband and I like to try new places when we come to Las Vegas. For the Brazillion food we always went to Sambas at the Mirage. Well ,this time, thought we'd try RumJ- What a mistake-went early for the dining and was dissed from the moment we walked in. The place was not at all busy so that was no excuse for being ignored. The girls who waited on us were very polite but we felt like an after-thought. Food came in different shifts- not in an appropriate order. Then my husband and I decided to have a cig. We were told to go up to the bar. ONE other person sitting at the Bar and the Bartender{Female} barely acknowledged us- I have been a B-Tender for 26 years and would not treat a customer this way and expect a tip. By the way -just for sitting at her bar we left 10 bucks.Overall ,because the food was actually tasty I gave the place 2 stars- Not going back- My thought was it was really just a niteclub and that later in the evening the energy was better . But I 'll never find out and Recommend Sambas for the great food -

Overpriced and Overcrowded
We made a VIP reservation here and not only did they open the doors 45 minutes earlier to the "walk up" line, we got attitude. Aka..."You just THINK you can get in here, don't you?!?". The drinks were so expensive it was ridiculous. A 6oz (if that) martini was $8 and so was the Corona. A single can of Red Bull, no liquor, was $11. The dj was mixing R&B all night, forget progressive much less electonica or anything else. The majority of the crowd was barely 21 year old women and well over 30 year old men. Not my kind of place. Try Studio 54. Better dj's, better drinks, and better space all around.
Great place

All around great place. I've eaten dinner here three times and it has never done me wrong. Stick around for the nighclub after 10 or 10:30...it rocks. Great bar, lots of beautiful people...a must-visit whenever I go to Vegas.
Paul & Jack Daniels rock me
Had drinks and appetizers here on Monday nite. Paul, the best bartender in Vegas, entertained us and told us stories of his Motley Crue after-party experience. He recommended yummy appetizers and when the club got totally crowded, he kept everybody happy with his spectacular drink tossing. This man and his mohawk are freakin GOLDEN! I like the club better before all the sweaty, ugly people arrived and the music could have been better, but it's still a fun time and I would drive all the way to Vegas, just for a Jack & Coke with Paul.
