Message from Picasso

Soaring cove ceilings, intimate nooks and great bursts of flowers make Picasso a dream of country elegance. Here, master Chef Julian Serrano's French-Mediterranean cuisine takes flight in a room that boasts an awesome profusion of original Picasso oils and ceramics. The first Las Vegas chef to be honored with the James Beard Award for "Best Chef, Southwest," Serrano showcases his ingredient-driven, seasonal cuisine in two masterful menus: A four-course tasting menu and a five-course Chef's Degustation. Picasso is the proud recipient of the AAA Five Diamond Award of Excellence for 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006. In addition, surveyors in the 2002 Zagat Las Vegas Restaurant Survey voted Picasso "Most Popular Restaurant" in Las Vegas.Visit Citysearch.com

Like its famed namesake, Picasso does for your sense of taste what the master painter's work does for your eyes.

In Short
Given that it's one of the city's masterpieces of culinary sophistication, it's only natural that this restaurant is named after a famous artist--and features 11 of his canvasses to boot. What's more,.the daily tasting menu and prix fixe menu--which use only the freshest ingredients--is as stunning as the scenery. Specialties include medallions of fallow deer with caramelized green apples, quail salad with sauteed artichokes and pine nuts, and sauteed black bass with cauliflower mousseline.

  • Unique Formal Setting

I visited Picasso's three weeks ago and had a mixed experience. The room is beautiful even without the Picasso originals on the walls. The food was suberb and the service was professional if a bit stiff. I found the selection of wines by the glass quite limited which was a small disappointment. To put Picasso's in perspective, I would probably visit Fleur de Lis, Aureole, Alize, and Bouchon before returning to Picasso's

Picasso at the Bellagio is touted to be one of the most romantic places to have dinner in Las Vegas...NOT!!! Picasso's policy is that the children of Bellegio guests are allowed in this restuarant. I don't mind paying $300 plus for dinner without alcohol, but not when a 3 year is squealing every time the fountains come on and running around the other guests tables. When this was brought up with the manager, he became belligerent and became mad at me for confronting him with it. Save your $$$ and go somewhere else where children are NOT allowed after 5pm.

I recently ate at Picasso's; it was the experience of a lifetime, forget about the price. The view of the fountains at Bellagio's, beautiful; the original Picasso's, breathtaking; the food, divine; the service, top drawer; all rate even more than 5 stars. I took my nephew there to celebrate his being accepted at medical school and I am sure it is an experience he will never forget. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who enjoys a top ten dining experience.

My husband and I decided to splurge in celebration of our 10th anniversary. When I passed the restaurant during the day and saw the menu, I was a bit skeptical. I walked into Picasso that evening a bit intimidated and suspicious because I thought that the servers would be snobby and that the food would be over the top. Luckily, I was proven wrong. Our server, Robert, was extremely helpful and accomodating and he smiled through the whole meal. We did the degustation menu with the wine tasting and everything was outstanding. Although the portions of each sampling are small, it is really all that you need, because the food is rich. It is very expensive and I am glad that we saved it for a special occassion and I will remember the evening for some time to come. In fact, during the meal, my husband and I commented that it was truly the nicest restaurant that we had ever been to.Too bad we didn't win more at the tables to cover the bill!!

  • Impressive Very !

This restaurant is absolutly the best in every catagory. The food words can not describe. The atmosphere and the service are unmatched. If you want to impress I can strongly reccomend that this is the place. It was the most expensive dinner I have ever paid for in my life over $1000.00 for 4 people. I found it so enjoyable I returned the next evening with 3 of my clients and spent another $800.00 and I can honestly say it was well worth it. I can hardly wait to go and dine there again!!!
