Great! Best Meal I've Ever Had in Vegas
Great meal. I've dined at restaurants in all of the great restaurant cities in the US (Chicago, San Fran., New Orleans, NYC) and this was one of the best meals I've ever had. The service was great and the food was outstanding. I had the tuna tartar and it was definitely sushi grade. The salsa was incredible with extraordinary bursts of flavor. When we asked the waiter for recommendations (he was fantastic!) I was impressed that among his recommendations was the cheapest entre on the menu. So I ordered it (the Cod) and it was fantastic. There were 7 of us dining and no one had a bad dinner. I spent nearly as much per person at the Eiffel Tower last year and it was even close to the dinner at Mix. Finally, the interior of the restaurant is fabulous. Beautiful, exciting, but spacious and serene at the same time. It's expensive, but worth it. My associates are still talking about it.
Add CommentGreat view, horrible food
My husband and I have lived in Las Vegas for 15 years, we go out frequently to the new "hot spots". We don't have a problem paying for quality food. I had heard that MIX was sopposed to be the new great culinary delight. There were more waiters than customers, bad sign when CES is in town...The menu had fewer choices than expected and items were very expensive. We had the Tuna Tartare to start, it wasn't even sushi grade tuna! It should have been in a can. My husband had the lamb chops. They were very fatty. I had a bison tenderloin. I believe the price on it was $48. It was fair at best and the portions were very small. Then desert, my husband had some pastery cream thing that was good. I had this apple thing that wasn't edible, it was just aweful. I left still hungry. The food, and the prices are insulting. We will not be back to eat. My suggestion, go to the bar for a drink, and eat somewhere good.
