It must be the rose. Sure, there are several reasons why Hugo's Cellar has been one of Las Vegas's most romantic hideaways for more than two decades. Though it's located just one flight down from the noisy Four Queens casino, the bells and whistles of the gaming machines fade quickly into the background, and guests at this dark, intimate spot dine in blissful quiet. The red brick walls, white linen, award-winning wine list and attentive service (including a tableside salad cart) all enhance the dining experience. Entrees include veal dijonaise, herb-crusted lamb rack, roast duckling flambe anise, seasoned steaks aged 21 days, raspberry chicken and an enormous cut of prime rib. The finishing touch of light and dark chocolate-dipped fruits served with fresh whipped cream brings every meal to a sweet conclusion. Many believe, however, that it's the long-stemmed red rose presented to each lady upon entry that wins over diners before they even reach their table. -- David Hofstede

HUGOS CELLAR
I HAVE BEEN GOING TO HUGOS FOR YEARS, I EVEN INTRODUCED MY THREE {THEN CHILDREN} TO HUGOS,AND THEY ALL STILL GO....PRICES ON THE STRIP HSVE GONE CRAZY AND MOST PLACES TREAT YOU LIKE A TOURIST THAT THEY WILL ONLY SEE ONCE..HUGOS IS NUMBER ONE FOR FOOD AND SEVICE

I have never seen a place that a roach would feel comfortable just strolling across the table- and I can say the food before its arrival was'nt good either... vegetables way under cooked, my fish was raw, friends with us had nothing good to say before our visitor decided to stroll across the table

We have been going to Hugo's for over 30 years. We live in las vegas (for 46 years) and among the many great restaurants here, there is no better. There are outstanding restaurants on the strip, but some of the prices are simply astronomical and they have nothing better to offer than Hugo's, although some have specialized menus which offer items not available at Hugo's.
