Bargain food,smokey inside, service ok, close to strip cheap drinks, karaoke

Ellis Island is a cheap locals place with probably the best value for little money in Vegas. You will smell like smoke once you leave and if you are wearing your best clothes pay more and go to the Strip. Service can be slow but some servers are decent. Over all the steak special can not be beat, ask for the mash potatoes and order steak at least medium unless you like it pretty raw. Perfect place to eat and drink for $10 a person. If you like penny machines sit a while and taste their home brewed beer. Drinks are cheap and tasty and if you order water it comes in a nice size bottle. Might see a couple of rough characters every now and then and I would not leave any important belongings in my car while inside. Give it a try, you will most likely be back.

I go to vegas at least twice a year and eat breakfast and dinner several times during stays. Friends that live in vegas had never been there till I mentioned it and now they go there all the time too. You have to ask for the specials as they are not on the menu.

The only bargain in Las Vegas, is at Ellis Island!. For the Sirloin Special, Soup or fresh crispy Salad, a 10oz piece of meat, choice of potato, fries or mashed, vegetable, and a 22 oz of EIB Beer or their special Root Beer. All this for $6.99. Can't beat it. Other menu items are just as good, however this is their 24 hour special available 24/7.
Hope you get a decent server, some are lazy and slow. If your lucky enough to get "Suzie" she is a firecracker, you don't wait for ask for anything, she is 100% on the ball. Ask for her, you may get lucky!

Loved it!!!!! My husband, myself and two friends went for an early dinner the first night we arrived in Vegas we were starving and the food did not disappoint. Three of us had their prime rib special that was HUGE, for the low price of $8.95 it even came with a salad, baked potato, veggie and even a beer.

We go to Vegas twice a year and always have breakfast at Ellis Island a few mornings. They have a steak, eggs, potatoes, and toast special for under $4. It's not like eating at the Bellagio, but well worth the money. Go early and miss the crowd, they have good service too.

We went on July 22, 07 after seeing it was #3 on this list. It's off the strip back behind Bally's. It was old and rustic, but that was okay. You could choke a horse on the smoke, but that's to be expected in a casino. The karaoke was hilarious...luckily that kept us entertained because we waited in line FOREVER to be seated and there were at least 6 empty tables. They don't advertise or have the $5 steak on the menu, but if you ask, they still have it. The prices of all the menu items are very good. $8.95 for a prime rib dinner with baked potato, fries, or rice, soup or salad and a beer or rootbeer. The food was very good, but the service was just lousy. I guess you take the good with the bad.
