The Egg & I was named after the novel that introduced the characters of Ma and Pa Kettle. But don't expect country settings and cornpone humor from this intimate but attractive dinner theatre, which specializes in interactive productions. In a town with as many entertainment options as Las Vegas, small dinner-theater shows like The Egg & I's 'Marriage Can Be Murder' risk getting lost in the shuffle. But for a pleasant evening with good food, a show equally appropriate for kids and adults, a non-smoking atmosphere and no slot machines to tempt you on the way out, it's an agreeable alternative to the glitzy revues on the Strip. The interactive shows encourage audience participation during dinner, which features such specialties as the New York Steak of Mind and Sorry Charlie, a grilled salmon fillet served with chunky tomato herb sauce and garlic mashed potatoes.

  • I love the Egg & I

I have been driving "clear across town" for years to eat at the Egg & I.
I used to go there before smoking was banned in restaurants, and
I thought it couldn't get any better. But now!! Smoke free and great
food, great service, friendly atmosphere.....what more could you ask for.

I guess the only thing I wish they had, is a location in the Southeast part of the valley.

    Thank you!

I only wish that this place could open in RI cause it is the best breakfast that I have ever had... everytime im in vegas i go eat here a few times, the homefries are amazing and everything is served in heaping portions. You definatly dont need to eat untill dinner after breakfast here... Everyone should try it!!

  • Ok food but kind of boring

    Review rating : 2out of 5   jpy56 - 06/11/2008

Not bad food. The potatoes that come with breakfast are terrible, though...they must think that everyone likes seasoned potatoes and alot of salt. Stick with the omelets stay away from the Chicken Fried Steak.

  • Eat here if you like food poisoning

    Review rating : 1out of 5   LiteUpThatHalo - 05/29/2008

First the place is sooooo ghetto. Every sever is overweight and crammed into jeans two sizes too small. They are covered with black eyeshawdow and all kinds of piercings. The bus people leave dirty dishes there but put clean set ups down. So gross! All day, you get called "folks". I don't know about you, but that's what I call my parents. The food isnt all that good, and the servers never check back. The worst thing is about ten hours after you eat, Plan on being near a toilet for several hours. Man you will have it coming out both ends! Never going back.

  • BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN ORDERING

    Review rating : 1out of 5   morleymailnv - 03/31/2007

Plainly ordered Stuffed French Toast. Should have known something was wrong, when I was asked if I wanted bacon or sausage (links or patties). When the food came, it was a bacon and cheese omelette with regular french toast on a separate plate. When I said this wasn't what I ordered, I was told by the waitress somewhat joking I think. "That this was a 'DO IT YOURSELF' kind of meal. I said that I would take it as is, as I needed to go soon. Needless to say I should have sent it back. The STUFFED (?) FRENCH TOAST was COLD and the sausage turned out to be BACON!! At this point I did complain and was finally brought out what was ordered. But again not hot but LUKE WARM. Probably what I ordered the first time. All through this the manager walked by several times and NOT once spoke, or asked how things were nor offered ANY thing for the mistake. I ended up paying full price for a most disappointing meal. Never again will they get my business nor recommendations.
