With its cascading waterfall, elegantly arranged tropical plants, carved wood interiors, ceiling fans and views of the Mandalay Bay's lush tropical water garden, the Bay Side Buffet is one of the nicest looking serve-yourself eateries on the Strip. If only the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus were as exotic as the South Pacific setting. But then most guests probably opt for buffet dining for the reliable (even predictable) selection of soups, salads, entrees and desserts. Nothing on the food line stands out, but nothing need be avoided, either.
The tables overlooking the garden are the nicest, though it's a long walk from that side of the room to the food.

Bay Side at Mandalay

As a resident of Las Vegas I have tried almost all of the buffets in town. I would rate the Bay Side the best. Followed by the Bellagio as a close second. Sea Food at Rio next, and then the Buffet at the Wynn. The Wynn Buffet is by far the most expensive of the four here at a minimum of $37.00 per person dependent on the day of the week.
For the best, try Bay Side.Add CommentMuy buena comida !!!

igualmente con su servicio.
CONGRATULACIONES!!! para todos los que estan envuelto en este suceso.Consistently Good!
The selection of food items is one of the best in Las Vegas. The food is always good. The service is great. The dining area is relaxing and pleasant. What else could you ask for?
Worth a visit
This buffet is Zagat rated and worth a visit. The peaceful and elegant decor were only surpassed by the delicious assortment of food. Service was the only weak link.
A wonderful meal every time.
Consistantly good food, varied menu selection, great ambiance, delightful staff and you don't feel rushed. I visit Las Vegas five or six times a year and I always make this my Buffet selection for at least one evening meal, sometimes twice during a three or four day visit. They have a fair number of Asian dishes and their desert station selection offers low or non sugar offerings. I have never been disappointed with the food or service at this Buffet.
Our favorite for breakfast
We have been going to the Bay Side Buffet since it opened in 1999. We've tried other buffets for breakfast but we always go back to the Bay Side Buffet. In fact, we're not even curious about the others anymore. It's a given that this is where we eat every morning when we're in Vegas. The staff is great too. Many of them have been there since opening. That says a lot about management.
Tasty
The food here is quite tasty. Everything is prepared very well. There are many varieties of fish and chicken, all very flavorful. It used to be better when it first openedl, but it's still very good.
second hand city
Where ever you eat in Las Vegas you are swallowing your food with cigarette smokes from others' lungs, throats, mouths, teeth, gums, tongues, noses, ears, etc. With people everywhere, indoor or out, they should allow smoking only inside one's own house or car with all windows and doors closed.
