Since 1959, Aurelio's has served pizzas to a devoted clientele from several locations across Chicago's south side. So devoted are the restaurant's customers that, after moving out of state, they think nothing of having an Aurelio's pizza delivered cross country via Federal Express. Now, this Chicago landmark has opened in Henderson, which should save a fortune in shipping fees for our Windy City transplants. The house specialty is a thin crust pizza, which is odd considering Chicago is famous for its pan and deep-dish varieties. But the Italian sausage has an extra bit of zing, and the cheese is cooked to a soft orange glow, both qualities associated only with Midwestern pies. Aurelio's also serves several pasta dishes, Italian beef and sausage sandwiches, chicken served alfredo or Parmesan style, and gourmet chili from an old family recipe.

I'm glad there is finally a good pizza in Las Vegas. I knew Joe when he owned his first store in Homewood, Il. YEP! It's still the best!

reddfreckle25 - 11/17/2007We wish we would have never eaten here because now it is the only place we will eat. We have eaten at every single pizza place on this side of town and by far this place is worth every single penny. The ingredients are fresh, the sauce is delicious, and the meats are incredible!

diffusionist - 06/06/2007The food is ok, but not really that great. I don't understand the high rating. The sausage is good, but the cheese lacks that smoky quality. It is ok, but it isn't nearly as good as Papreza's Pizza.

sberryl7 - 02/14/2007To all those that didn't know already, this pizza place originated in Chicago...so for those that are expecting the stereotypical Chicago pizza, this may not be up to your standards. Besides how much Chicago can you get when the ingredients are sent here from Chicago! I love this pizza.
