Burgers, pies, club car sandwiches, cappuccinos and kitschy train memorabilia -- they're all in the mix at this Westwood landmark nestled inside a 19th-century hotel. Named for the Pascack Valley train that thunders by just steps from the front door, the bustling restaurant does very well by any number of calorie-laden appetizers and meat, fish and dairy platters, but is justly famous for its burgers. If you love beef but hate cheese, be sure to make that clear to your server. Otherwise you'll wind up with what most regulars insist on -- a perfectly spiced and seasoned slab of ground beef (over)- stuffed with a pillow of silky, melted cheese. Come for the hand-cut fries, fresh squeezed juices and bulgin' Belgian waffles and you'll understand why this is the place to nosh and nibble in Westwood, especially if you like to eat up long after the sun has gone down. -- Y.     First of all, try getting the name of the place correct. It's the Iron Horse, NOT Iron House. The restaurant theme is trains (that's why it is called the Iron Horse). Anyway, good burgers...they stuff them with the cheese, rather than just putting a slice of cheese on top. Great sweet potato fries (with maple syrup!) too...

    The burgers are the best I have ever had but the burger of the month is outstanding and my favorite. I have had several but the horseradish cheddar and the margarita are my favorites. Keep the creative juices flowing these burgers are great. By the way the service is always attentive and the new table tops are a wonderful new addition. Congratulations on the being voted the best burger in Bergen County too!!!!

    Take a look at your picture. The sign above the door says IRON HO R SE, right! Your article highlights Iron "House". Hmmmm

    Over years,many a birthday and gathering of family, friends would hang out at the Iron Horse. Their burgers are what you dream about. THICK JUICY and stuffed with your choice of cheese. My favorite is cheddar. Awesome thick steak fries,coleslaw and thick slices of dill pickle. I no longer live the Westwood area but everytime I am, the first place I go is to the Iron Horse for a burger and beer. Great family place filled with unique train items and awesome food.
