The exterior of Kinchley's doesn't look promising; the interior is not much better. But that's actually a blessing rather than a curse, because it's hard enough to get a table as is. Although the place hasn't been updated since it opened many years ago, dedicated lovers of Kinchley's thin-crust pizza still keep the joint jumping every night of the week. There is a two-slice minimum, but it's a mere formality, as only the most ascetic practitioner of self-restraint could eat just one. In fact, the ultra thin-crust servings will leave you craving more. The specialty pies are heavenly -- a pepper pie boasts a crowd of sliced pepperoncini and the fra diavolo pie's tomato sauce is devilishly spiked with crushed red pepper. The pizza here is so perfect that it needs no accompaniment, but the arugula and antipasto salads are popular anyway among those whose appetites know no bounds.

    I lived in the area as a kid and my parents always took me there. They hung out there when they were in high school (1950s). I moved away in 1971, but still miss that pizza. When I go back to visit, the place looks the same and the pizza is still as wonderful as I remember. It's the best!!!

    ALL THE FOOD USED TO BE BAKED ALONG WITH THE PIZZA, NOW EVERYTHING IS DONE IN MICRO WAVES , AND THE PIZZA COOKS IN 5 MINUTES. IT IS GOOD FOR BUSINESS, BUT NOT FOR THE LONG TIME AGO TASTE THAT WAS THERE. AND THE MANAGERS COULD USE A LESSON IN KINDNESS. BUT NINA IS STILL A GREAT PERSON!!!

    Order a pie for each person at the table. What you don't eat there will turn into coveted left overs later on that night. The sausage parmigian is a belly buster. The mozzarella and tomato salad is also worth a try.

    I have been going to Kinchley's for nearly 40 years. Having spent my college years in NYC and been to a lot of places, this still rates the best ever. The Nanuet Hotel pizza is very close and when you add the N/H beer selection, including a very good pint of Guiness, the overall rating goes to the Nanuet NY locale.
