The atmosphere in this cafeterialike setting is perfectly relaxed, the surroundings casual, the focus not on "atmosphere" but -- let's be frank about it -- hard-core gluttony. For slightly less than $20, a bustling collection of fine and vigorous young men and women in close-fitting slacks will heap your plate with steak, ribs, chicken, pork, lamb, sausage or bacon-wrapped turkey legs fresh off their spits. They will do this as many times as you can bear to clean it off. And if you haven't the appetite for this, sit at the long counter for the $6 to $8 specials, each of which comes with enough food to knock most eaters into a woozy torpor. The barbecue, lightly marinated, derives almost all of its remarkable flavor from the charcoal itself, which is how it is supposed to be. Enjoy it all with a side of plantains, red or black beans or french fries. Or just save room for the meat.

Add CommentBest Brasilian Food
I have been going there for 11 years and I haven't found any place that has better food. I know good brasilian food and this is it. The rice and beans are the best in the world. When I'm eating here my friends know it's the only time I don't talk. The fried bananas are amazing so sweet and soft.........
EAT!

A great place to go and eat rodizio! The parking can be tough but it's a great experience, especially with the family.
Very Good Food!

Best Brazilian Restaurant in NJ (this is coming from a person who knows what Brazilian food is supposed to taste like). Definitely try the rodizio. You can't go wrong with that. If you're NYC, definitely go to Plataforma (preferably the one on 49th Street)
WOW
I love the food. Continuous? Why yes of course! You have to try the plantains. My favorite was the meat on the bone. Love that stuff. Can't get enough. Well worth the wait.
You can't believe every review you read.
From the two flights of stairs to the $18.00 pitchers of 'white sangria', this place was a disapointment to say the least. If I'm going to get jacked I'd rather go to the Churrascaria Plataforma. At least I know the Sangria isn't just orange juice and cheap wine. Rodizio was average at best. Had to practically drag the waiter over to get a chicken leg. Had to remind the waiter to bring over the steak. It looks like if your a regular you get treated like a king, but I don't have the time or inclination to hang around in Newark at a substandard glorified deli. The 'hot/salad' bar was a joke, considering the only 'hot' thing in it was the bulb lighting up the potato and macaroni salad. They stopped serving the Rodizio without asking us. Ordered espresso with shots of Frangelico which they ran out of and didn't have another bottle, so no Frangelico for the coffee that you already have sitting in front of you. Let alone that we could have (and should have) walked out due to the lack of attention payed to us when we were waving our arms in the air to get the attention of the waiter, so we could pay the check and get the @#$! out of Dodge. I feel cheated and violated as well as lied to. It wasn't all bad though. Leaving was great. The end.
Dont eat anything the night before!

I have try two or three of the other restaurants in the area that serve the food. But, this is by far the best and the most affordable. My favorite of course is the rodizio; all you can eat and more. I world also recommend the sangua.
