  • Big night out in NJ

    Review rating : 5out of 5   NJbizman66 - 05/23/2008

I am Living in NJ with 3 kids under the age of 10 it's difficult to find time to dine out with just your wife. As a gift from my associate I got a gift card to Strip House. So we got a babysitter and off we went. Big night out! I had no idea what I was in for. Stepping into this restaurant is like stepping back in time to old world New York. The ambiance and atmosphere has this great energy and vibe. I couldnt wait to sit down and have a drink and eat dinner. To make a long story short, thats what we did. We had these wonderful specialty cocktails and ate to our hearts content. The food was outstanding. Especially my Strip...never had better. My mouth waters now thinking if it. My wife went crazy over the goose potatoes and their creamed spinach. The server was so charming and helped guide us into ordering the right items. He was always wonderfully suggesstive..Never pushy. Hats off to the chef and creaters of this great restaurant. It actually promted me to go on line to see what else they own. It was a memorable night with my wife. I strongly reccommend a night at Strip House. Make you fall in love....with the Strip. (and my wife too)

    Over priced and bad

  • how is this place not #1

    Review rating : 5out of 5   jsisolak - 02/18/2007

Wife who is a die-hard Mortons fan has proclaimed Striphouse as her new favorite steakhouse, and I a Frankie and Johnnies fan have to agree. Seafood appetizer platter, 2 filet mignon dinners,a bottle of the more expensive wine on the list with 2 sides 2 desserts and 2 coffees for under $250. Service was timely and outstanding.
The only drawback is the tight proximity of neighboring tables. Definitely not a place for an intimate dinner, unless you swing one of the corner tables.

  • CANT COMPARE TO MORTONS OR F/J

    Review rating : 2out of 5   buz85 - 01/02/2007

WHILE THE SERVICE WAS TIP NOTCH , THEY PUSH THEIR SEAFEAD PLATTERS, WHARE ARE A MIX OF DIFFERENTCOLD ITEMS WHICG ARE VERY GOOD, THE STEAKS WHERE AVERAGE AND YOU WOULD NOT KNOW YOU WHERE IN A TIP NOTCH EXPENSIVE STEAJ HOUSE EXCEPT FOR THE AMBIANCE AND PRICE....JUST AVERAGE...AS WAS MY EXPERIENC WITH SPARKSIN NYC...GO TO MORTONS ANY CITY..

  • expensive and awful

A very disappointing and expensive meal. The service ranged from arrogant to disinterested. Three dinners, three strikes, they're out.

  • Fair food, locals suck

    Review rating : 1out of 5   wruben - 09/08/2006

Steak is expensive, Service is arrogant, locals livingstonites are self absorbed in their obnoxious children. Ill pick up a pizza across the street next time.

  • poor service/fair food

    Review rating : 1out of 5   spindelx2 - 09/18/2005

Sept. 17, 2005 six for dinner. restaurant service was very slow, service at the bar for before dinner drinks was very good with a friendly staff.
some items ordered not brought to the table and had to be asked for more than once. 3 food items were not available (goose potatoes, cappuccino and rib eye), per server. although the staff was polite and friendly they seemed disorganized. the steaks ordered at our table (3) were good but the the lamb (tough, and quantity very small) the swordfish ordered seemed tastless. the shared porterhouse was the best of the 6 dinners ordered. for the prices they charge they still have alot to learn about meeting the demands of their customers; for food quality and presentation.
