The diner fetishist operates from a position of appreciation for things that are exactly what they are, no more and no less. It means finding value in food that tastes like its components, especially in an age in which so many sub-standard restaurants put on airs or pretend to be better than they are. But you can take this too far. You defeat the purpose of humble food when you exalt it. Yes, White Mana has been around since the 1939 World's Fair, where it was introduced as the "diner of the future" (it's round, made of steel, and has a 13-foot circular steel counter inside). Yes, the beefy burgers come with sauteed onions and are still less than a dollar, and the fries have the inimitable snap that only overheated lard can convey. But if you eat too much at White Mana, you'll end up sloshing around woozy with a cholesterol headache and wrenching gastrointestinal palpitations. Take heed: Moderate your intake of these tempting, slippery little discs. It's best to pop in on a restless night when you need some grease and dough to soak up the alcohol in your belly.

aawwwsugar - 03/01/2007i have to say you really dont see any hookers around there anymore and i go to white mana weekly basis the only thing that sucks is that it gets crowded when theres a fight at ringside but i know all the workers personally RICO and Arnold and the little old lady im tryna get my picture up on the wall yenno .. but if you go to white mana DONT eat toooo much enless your drunk they call the murder burgers for a reason. and allllways get WAFFLE fries with cheese their union rings are fuckin great too .... nothing better than ending a long night at the mana!!!

If you like eating with the crack ****** from the local seedy motels and the constant stream of bums looking for cheap eats, then you found your place. Stale rolls, greasy meat, and soggy fries cooked in dirty oil. W/M in Hackensack is a hundred times better.

jessicalopezvega - 04/04/2006A place you like to go to all the time, be it with family during the day, or your friends during the late hours! One of the best burgers in town, Hackensack can't compare! There's hookers all the way up and down Tonnele Avenue, there not just in the White Mana, plus what's the owner suppose to do, put up a sign, "NO HOOKERS ALLOWED"!!! Get real with your comments! I eat there all the time, and I never got sick! My family eats there, my friends eat there, and at least I can see the cook cooking my food regardless if he's touching the money and raw meat, GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT OTHER PLACES DO WHILE THEY'RE COOKING YOUR FOOD BEHIND CLOSED DOORS!
