If you're wondering just how good the barbecued ribs at Cubby's are, just check out diners' faces: One look around this smugly satisfied room and you'll understand why the baby back ribs are approaching sacred status in Bergen County. Tender, sweet meat that falls from the bone with the mere stare of hungry eyes, they'll win over even the most seasoned barbecue diner, making one forget about things like napkins and public scrutiny. But Cubby's' mastery of this uniquely American niche extends to several offerings, notably the center-cut pork sandwich, which left us discarding the bread in a state of all-out gorging. A family-friendly, cafeteria-like atmosphere and a menu that reaches to all corners of grill-joint fare (chicken, fish, burgers, dogs) push Cubby's beyond the pigeonhole of barbecue pit and into the realm of working-class jewel. With extra napkins on the tables, of course.

I don't know what some people on here are talking about. They obviously don't know good ribs when they eat them! Cubby's has, hands down, the best ribs I've ever eaten. and not just ribs... the whole menu's fantastic... pulled pork sandwich, burgers chicken platters... yummy. Not just good food either, but good service. Friendly staff, prompt delivery of food. All around great restaurant!

    Review rating : 5out of 5   AcS626 - 06/14/2008

I've been going there since my son was a baby now here's 28 yrs old. All the food is great and its nice and clean, even the bathroom. You know it a nice place than LOL. They serve beer and wine also and you can dress casaul and the owner is very nice. A young couple might think the price is a little high, but really its not. You can also call a head of time for take out and its readly on time . Its really a very nice place for the entire family, once you try it you'll be back to try something like their grill chicken salad with garlic bread that's great and so on . Drop by there I know you will love it :-) Oh! try their hot dogs too alot of people come in just for the"dogs"

  • WAY OVERPRICED!

Much better barbecue at Golden Pub in Saddle Brook. Look at the prices, they're more expensive than a night out at a good steakhouse! $5 for a dog, $29 for a rack of ribs, c'mon!
